Remarks

Positive: The participation in extracurricular activities is great and I personally have taken part in various activities like quiz and stuff Negative: The faculty is average. They are not great at teaching and connecting with studnets

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum deals with all the basic stuff that one needs to study for undergrad level. There were 2 mid semester exams, one in each semester and at the end of each semester there was a final exam.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are good for commerce and post graduate students but there are no options for students of other streams like humanities and basic sciences. No there is no internship provided by the college and no stipend was given to the studnets

College Events

Every year a fresher's party is organised by the college and then an annual function is also organised and a farewell party to all the students of the final semester. Occasionally Youth fest is also organised which sees participation from multiple colleges

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not expensive. One can easily financially manage the expenses. The fees for bsc was around Rs 25k for one year and it is similar for other courses as well. However no scholarship is provided

Fees and Financial Aid

No there are no scholarship facility given to the students and certainly not the loan facility. You have to bare the expenses all on your on which is generally not difficult to manage but may be in somecase one may find some difficulty.

Campus Life

This is one of the best aspect of the college. All the students are actively encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities. Every year students take part in various competition and bags various prizes

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that great but yes the seniors do help the students if you can get in touch with them. Usually in the beginning of the course, seniors are there to help you most of the time and and refuses to help anyony

Admission

I filled the application form first which asked for the basic details like academics and communication details and then after the online application submission process was over, a merit list was released by the college and then a physical conselling took place.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is average. Although the teachers were experiences, post grads and doctoral, however the pedagogy was not that great. They were not able to connect with the students but overall it was good

College Life : An interesting part of life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.

Curriculum is prepared well. I chose medical as i was a medical student. Curriculum is prepared in such a wau that it will help you out in the real world too. Improvement is required in the books as some of the books are out dated. Timing of exams are accurate we get enough time to prepare for the exam and difficulty level is moderate.

forms were filled.various colleges were selected and then counselling was done in the post graduate government college for girls sector 11.college were assigned on the bases of merit then we have to go to the assigned colleges and then fees was submitted and then college began after one week of fees submission

GGDSD COLLEGE FROM STUDENTS PERSEPECTIVE

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
