Remarks

Location is very isolated from the rest of India but it has an airport and railway. No pvr no pizza hut no dominos and no good cinema hall. So if you like pizza then you will not like this city. Also it is hell for movie goers.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is good and has different scopes for the student. If you have an interest in thermodynamics and heat transfer then you can opt for this course. There are two rounds of exam one is midterm and end-term. End term comprises of 100 marks and evaluated for 50 marks and mid term comprises of 50 marks and evaluated for 30 marks. Rest 20 marks consists of internal exam(10 marks), attendance(5 marks), assignment(5 marks).

Placement Experience

3

This college will provide a wide range of internship for BTech as well as for MTech. There is also provision for MTech thermal student that they can go abroad for an internship. We get stipend on time. But when we talk about placement for MTech, it is a little bit low in core sector

College Events

5

Moksha- it is a cultural fest where various events organised by the students. In this fest, events like dance performances(solo as well as group), band performance, singing as well as fashion shows are organized and on the basis of these events mr and ms moksha are chosen. Freshers party - for fresher of BTech Ganpati pooja- organized by 1st year Advaitam- tech fest organised by 2nd yr

Fee Structure And Facilities

For MTech and btech, fee structures are feasible. For MTech is around 38000 per semester and for hostel 28000 so it is feasible as they provide 12400 per month as stipend. For btech it is very low sc/st category student and also they provide stipend for ews students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not availed any loan for fees as the fee structure is within my range. I paid my fee with the help of gate scholarship. I get 12400 per month. For BTech students, they may have to avail loans if they are from ews. This college also provide scholarship to meritorious students.

Campus Life

4.5

A lot of game and sports activities organised by the respective committee. There is a committee for every sports and game. Different events for different sports organised. Labs are good but not up to the Mark. Labs are still in developing process.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Very good infrastructure, new hostels are available. Rooms are very spacious and no problem for sunlight. I will rate it 9 out of 10. Deducted 1 point for wifi facilities as it has not started yet in new hostel but it is available in old hostel. But you can enjoy wifi in college.

Alumni/Alumna

Large alumni network as this college is very old. Alumni meet is organised every year and different events are carried out. Seminars are organised to share their experiences with students. Senior students are very helpful. This college follows a zero tolerance policy for ragging.

Admission

I got in Through gate examination. I appeared in gate 2018. I have secured 467 gate score and allotted to this college in 2nd round of counseling. In 2nd round I was assigned with hydro informatics branch. Then I opted for floating in which there was a provision for change of stream.so after first round of floating I got thermal science and engineering.

Placement Experience:

NITs, in my opinion, are among the best colleges in India, with excellent placement records and offers. The college is completely focused on improving its placement quality, which is why the placement record improves and grows year after year. Every year, the college maintains a perfect record, with the highest placement offer being around 30 LPA and the average salary offer being around 12 LPA.

Remarks:

this institute was veryConsiderate about meritorious students who might not have good gate score. No extra fee was charged for non GATE admission. my course was relatively new so special attention was given to tbe students in the teaching process. It is a National Institute which is usually a higher echelon institute.Yet the teaching staff was humble and far more considerate about the problems a student face. The only down side was the administration department some of the students had to face a lot of issues when ot came to the disbursement of stipend. The faculty did a great job navigating the classes during the pandemic but the same tenacity and dedicated was a little wanting from the administrative department.

Remarks:

NIT Agartala is growing at a very fast rate in terms of infrastructure and placement drives. There are many acclaimed faculties which also happen to have very good ties with companies such Intel and L&T. In terms of hostels and playgrounds, they are newly inaugurated and are kept very neat and clean. Technical Club such as BAJA stays very active and have also won the competition with other top tier colleges in the past. Laboratories are kept in a good condition and students get freedom to work there through day and night. It provides a clean and healthy environment for students to learn and grow.
