Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is quite good but some subjects u don't think we as electrical engineer need to study though this course curriculum is going on from a long time it's outdated but works because people manage to get more skills through anywhere and placement are good classes happens from 10am to about 6pm at last though it changes semister to semister

Internships Opportunities

5

After 2nd year during summer break company come to provide internship there you can go if you meet their elegiblety which is basically cgpa and then interview happens if you got selected the 2 months of internship for the summer sem you can enjoy also for 4th years they get internship for 6 months and if company is satisfied they can get ppo most of the placement offers are like this you can do internship also in any year if you have skills one of my senior in 2nd year got internship at drdo it's really a prestige

Placement Experience

5

Placement are quite a promise from college in electrical department in placement 89% students become elegible to sit in placement and 98% of them get the placement either some refuse to join because they have good gate score most of them makes it in placement one can have 65lakhs per anum to 4lakh also depending on their performance basically you will end up getting something Apple microsoft amazon came for hiring software developer offering great package Apple provided 64 lakhs while texas instruments google silicon also come and offer 34 lakhs and 28 lakhs nvidia also come good companies have DTU in mind to take students so it's secure and sound

Fees and Financial Aid

First you have to provide the seat acceptance fees which is 95k during the jac delhi councelling after addmission you can pay the rest whenever college issues a notice to pay definitely you can ask for time if you can't pay right now it's not a big deal. In the first year the fees is 2,47,700 in the second year it is 2,68,700 in third year it is 2,86700 and in 4th year it is 3,06700 there is no benefit for category but on income based DTU provide fee concession so you can avail it it's upto 100% full fee or tution fee and 50% tution fee depending on your anual income other fee concession are also there which nsp provide and dell also visit to provide scholarship there is plenty of you are in real need of it in the total fees there are section for each the examination fees are 15k for 1st year and 17k for the rest 3 years and tution fees are 1,68,000 1,77,000 1,92,000 and 2,08,000 are the tution fees for each year while the total fees is mentioned at top If you get the scholarship then it's real great otherwise also DTU is good on its name

Campus Life

5

The biggest annual fest is Engifest come and see what it is its the biggest in North India dtu held it and as for tech fest we have Invictus if you are tech enthusiastic just come and see what we got in society we have teams like DTU uas who makes drone and team defianz who make f1 cars semicon which is a semiconductor based society invented by sir vinod dham father of pentium chips I'm in semicon. Society have fun but workload is also there to handle with college class it sometimes because hustle We have central library in which you can issue book with your id card its free to go and study it's Fully ac so in summer you won't have any problem plus it's real clean and great

Admission

I chose DTU because I liked it so much my other choice was nsut if and only if I was about to get an upgrade branch from what was I getting but campus life of dtu is best the admission process was done by jac delhi councelling it was smooth and physical verification at dtu was also smooth and fast no problem occurred everything was fine I didn't apply at nsut because I wasn't getting a better branch and in my choice I placed DTU as my priority the elegiblety for 12th percentage is 65% and cutoff of exam depends on percentile of jee mains DTU doesn't take admission from anywhere else they are college of prestige and you have to crack jee mains for it

Faculty

4

In exam we have midsems endsems and cws that are class based marks can include attendance assignment submission and quiz midsems have 25 marks for non practical subjects while 20 for only theory subject and endsems have double the marks credit system are in grade you got o grade for best then Aplus then A and so on result came in cg faculty are approachable you can ask doubt the faculty to students ratio is also good though I'm not sure of it in exact numbers R.k Sinha is our hod in physics department he teaches us physics he's quite good at what he does exams are difficult or easy based on the professor completely

Night Life

5

We have gym cafeteria dominos pizza bistro 57 hims and other cafe to walk and eat night life is also great to watch since I'm not and hosteler never had chance to watch but seen photos it's really great to have

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really good, i was always intered in the Engineering perspective of cars, and I must say it tries to deliver but doesnt sicces that well, atleast till now. For example I was really interested to study IC Engines this semester, it was a 4 credit main course, but I got RGautam as a teacher and in lab there are just artificial small models which are cross-section of various engines scaled down. So I felt really bad As I said earlier, the exams are relatively easy.
