Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum at Delhi Metropolitan Education is relevant and industry-focused. Subjects like media laws, practical projects, and internships influenced my choice. It prepares students well for careers and higher studies. Exams are timely and moderately challenging. More practical exposure would enhance learning.
Internships Opportunities
Various internship opportunities are also available in news agencies, mid sized corporates and NGOs . Roles such as project head, content writer, video editor, cinematographer, photographer, Public relations, advertiser, digital marketing are available.
Placement Experience
Placements of our colleges and mediocre. From 6th semester students become elegible for campus placement. The highest package offered was 6LPA and the average package is 3-4 LPA. Placement depends upon the students applying for placement through college. Many students gets internships or jobs by themselves before even reaching placement cell.
Fees and Financial Aid
For first year I paid 1.36 lacs that included college fees, kits, value added courses fees, coat and other wearables no other fees were there at the time of admission. For my second and third year I paid 96,500 each year. 10-15% scholarship is provided for students.
Admission
I chose Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), Noida because of its strong academic structure, industry exposure, and affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), which ensures credibility and academic rigor. During admissions, I also applied to colleges like Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (MAIMS), Delhi, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), Delhi, and Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), Kalkaji. I received confirmed admission from JIMS and DME. While MAIMS and VIPS had higher cut-offs that year, I narrowly missed the merit list due to my rank in the entrance exam. DME offers a balanced mix of theoretical and practical learning, especially in Journalism & Mass Communication, with media labs and project-based assignments. Regular guest lectures, internships, and media workshops give practical exposure. Modern classrooms, studio facilities, and an organized campus environment. I couldn’t secure admission in MAIMS and VIPS mainly due to higher cut-offs and rank competition in the IPU entrance process. The margin was small, but merit-based admissions are highly competitive.
Faculty
Faculty is friendly and have a good relationship with students. They are very approachable and helpful. All of the faculty members are good in the course of BAJMC. I personally didn't find any faculty disliked ever. There are class tests, internal exams and external exams along with practicals. If you study the exams are passed easily. Only 3-5% of the students fail to clear the exam.
Night Life
Campus timings are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. No hostel is there inside college. Hostel is located at walking distance from college outside campus and the locality is also safe to roam around at night.
Other Applied Colleges
Maharaja Agrasen College - [MAC] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Journalism)
