Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course itself was nothing out of the ordinary material, it teaches you the basics of the field but the faculties were pretty good and helped us understand not just the basic but a little more so that we could actually be able to work in the environment once we get there. Also they organise workshops which was mandatory for all the students without any extra charge to learn from professional what to do and how to do it best. We also used to get projects which actually helped alot in learning with practice the theory.

Fees and Financial Aid

I hve heard that there was some scholarship program but I can't help you sice I have no idea how it worked. And fee structure was Rs 73000/ semester and we had two semesters per year and there was an increase of around 10% every year last semester was around Rs 93000. Ofcourse there was different fees after that like for library card I gues it was Rs 500. And if you lost your id card twice and then they charged around Rs 750. You also had to pay security fee which was Rs 20000 and was refunded once you graduate.

Campus Life

5

My college life was more less exactly how I wanted I was able to be on a news channel within first quarter of joining the college, the campus was huge and had so many different courses that I was able to interact with a lot of people and there were so many clubs that I took part in many by acting playing kho kho, volleyball, hand ball basketball and badminton too. I even made and acted in lots and lots of short movies. But the best part was that I was able to meet with people with similar or better skillsets than mine and was able to call them friends.

Admission

I actually chosed tgis college as the exposure was pretty good. But the major part of me for choosing this college is because I was denied by my parents to learn animation as that was my first preference. My, one distant relative, also did animation and since he had no job my parents were scared that it would turn out to be my story. And as per the admission process it was pretty straightforward, I had to give and exam followed by a personal interview and I got selected.

Faculty

4

Mainly there were just semesters but you did get projects during summer vacation and winter vacation. Most faculties were really helpful but thhe teachers I like most were Gauri Chakraborty ma'am and Ankit Kashyap sir as they would even give the insight of media and how it is to be working in media and what are media personals like. I don't remember the name but there was one non teaching staff thet I didn't like as he expected the students to do their jobs and would just relax in his cabin burdening the students and even scolding them for not doing his work or refusing to do so.

Interview Experience

5

For the test there was an mcq which was rather is if you know general knowledge but ofcourse that was just in my course although personal interview was something that I had to prepare for, but It wasn't tough as at the time I was living with my relative who was preparing for UPSC and he taught me everything he knew about major world news and how should I portray them in front of an interviewer. What they asked in PI was just related to them.

Night Life

4

Nightlife inside the campus is very ordinary like most of the days you wallk with your friends and chill in different areas or have something to eat also there was a game zone which was just like a game zone in mall consisting of everything I even managed to get a hihghest time on bull ride which I don't think people even today could manage to break. Around campus was not much except different pg's and offices for anything good you have to travel 7-8 km to the main market.

Other Applied Colleges

LISAA School Of Design | Bachelor in Animation

Parents don't wanted me to do animation

From 5th semester students become eligible for internship and jobs related to their courses. Department provides numerous opportunities and offers to students for enrolling in different internships and they help you get that. In bajmc I haven't seen any senior getting enrolled in a news channel yet but they do provide internship opportunities at other companies which may be alright. Most students get placed for internship somewhere or the other. My plans after getting the degree is to get back to news.
