Very slow improvement for college infrastructure and zero extracurricular activities.

Gndu university level entrance test for mba/mca five year integrated course in which i got seat in migrant quota & got admission in reginal campus where as i was willing for amritsar campus as it is main campus of gndu.

Course content was good as subjects were all relevant but as per the subject the practical knowledge was not there had there been a practice of making practicals somehow compulsory for every student then it could definitely increase the chances of student to be placed in companies at end of course and also prepare student for being familiar to practical work that one has to do once he starts working.

No it does not provide one has to find on his own or go for some institute level training and complete one project.

Yes placements are good as gndu is a 5star accredited university.around 20-30companies used to come overall covering all courses.Companies like tcs(rs.3.30lacs), capgemini(rs.3.20lacs), wipro(rs.2.75lacs),samsung(rs.6.00lacs)naggaro(rs.6.50lacs), headstrong(rs.3.50lacs),accenture(rs.3lacs),amdocs(rs.4.20lacs), avaya(rs.4lacs),intelligence beau rue(govt job), indian army(govt job), idbi(rs5lacs) etc.

There is a society formed called tss which organizes events like dance, singing, games etc annually and it is a quite day long activity followed by some celebrity singing show mostly the students enjoy the same by participating passionately. Mostly the singers are punjabi only.

As its a semi government institute it is near to expensive only but deserving candidates are given exemption in fees after providing genuine documents of any eligible reason like poverty, sc quotas, kashmiri migrant quotas fo entrance selection. During 2006-2011 the fees for btech was in between 40k -55k and for mca it was 60k -70k & mba 60k - 75k and law 30k - 45k.

No i did not come around any but university give exemptions to needy students after proper verification o the reason.

Campus life i have seen improving in my 5years period and hopefully it might have acquired good healthy habits in terms of sports & extra curricular activities but during my time they were all for namesake.Male to female ratio is kind of 60:40 and is safe environment for the girls.

As gurdaspur is a small district, cost of living is not that high outside hostel.Hostel accommodation is also cheap not costly like private institutes & there are 3beds in a room on sharing basis with 3 cupboards as well mess food always below standards q

Yes gndu has a placement cell which coordinates with alumni for updates regarding jobs posted by any other alumni. Interaction with seniors has improved as campus is getting good quality of students with every passing year.

Exams were good but practicals were kind of chilled only, it was not that hectic & students used to go to practical labs & somehow managed to get their attendence marked and then probably skip or surf internet till the time completes for that period.

faculty was good qualification wise but apart from a few, mostly the lecturers were incompetent & delivering a crammed knowledge on daily basis.it ws just injecting of bookish knowledge in students and not giving any practical scenarios in discussion.
