A journey worth sharing

The only negative remark about the college is the placements happening for Mechanical Engineering students. This can be improved if someone reflects into it and try to get more companies visiting our college and hire a few students. If they manage to do the same. JCE will be the best college in the Belgaum.

The Mechanical Engineering course at this college is at its best, the college offers you the best of the faculty. The Mechanical Department faculty is the best in the entire of Belgaum. We have a exam structure of 80 marks (External) & 20 marks(Internal).

The placements at Jain college of Engineering for the field of Mechanical Engineering is a big drawback. Hardly one or two companies show up for Mechanical Engineers and the salary offered by those companies too range from 15-20k per month.

The college organises a National level Techno-Cultural fest (Odyssey) every year in the early April or Mid of March. Many students across the state participate in the events and at the evening we have a cultural fest where we enjoy Dance & Singing performances.

The fee structure of Jain college i would say is feasible enough as compared to other colleges in the Belgaum. The donation here is not so high and the output(placements) for IT people seem to be promising and if you are going for a IT field the fees is feasible. But if you want to go for Mechanical Engineering then you need to compromise for the placements.

The college offers a scholarship of around 40-50k per year for Jain people and 15-20k per year for the GM people. To avail for the same you need to have a word with the person in the office, he shall guide you as to how you can enroll for the scholarship.

We do have a huge ground, Indoor sports room and a Basketball court. You can play Chess/Table tennis in the Indoor games room. The labs in JCE are well equipped and all the equipments are pretty new as the college itself is just 6-7years old.

Recently the hostel facilities are been started at the backyard of our college. The hostel provides you with food, good rooms, and wifi but the locality near the hostel is not hygienic. Though the college is beside the hostel but the main city is far away from the hostel.

If you want to have a good career and seek job in the field of Mechanical Engineering soon after B.E. then start doing some internships or take part in some projects in the college which would help you to secure a job while you walk in to companies (Off-Campus).

Secured a Merit seat via CET rank then got Jain College of engineering through CET counselling, paid 50k earlier later paid 18k as the college fees and got into this college, so total fees for Merit seat is 68k.

As stated earlier the faculty members are well experienced and almost all of them are from IIT's or from Top Universities they are very well versed with teaching the subjects they are alloted with. At the same time they are very friendly and you can interact with them whenever you find any difficulty in understanding any concepts.
