dtu through a student's lens

i would rate the curicullum at dtu as relevant and fairly compehensive . The course srtructure includes core subjects .The course alse includes labs , seminars and project work , which helps in understanding practical applications, although the industry exposure is limited. Most real world skills are gained through internship online courses , and self learning.

The fee structure for btech at dtu for general category on yearly basis is around 2.5 laks which includes tuition fees ,registeration fees univesity an development fees ,exam and library charges . A one time refundable fee is is also taken during the time of admission .The fees generally increase slightly every year due to revisions by the university . There is no management quoata so fee structure is transparent.

the university have large and green campus with infrastructurethat is good . It has two major annual fests and engifest . The central library is well maintained and has a well collecton of textbooks, refrence books, research journal and online databases. Dtu offers excellent sports facilities including grounds for cricket , football ,basketball ,badminton , tennis and several other sports.

i choose dtu over other colleges mainly because of its strong reputation ,government status good placements ,and campus exposure .i had applied to colleges like nsut and other ip university colleges but dtu stood out due to its brand value ,alumini network and academic enviroonment

the faculty strength at dtu is goo witha decent faculty to student ratio so classes are manageable and students can approach teacher when needed .Most professors are well qualified ,experienced and research oriented .Some faculty members are very supportive and helps student with internship, projects and higher studies guidance.the student faculty relatonship is genrally professional but approachable.The exam system follows a semester pattern with two mid semester exams and one end semester exams along with lab evaluation, assignments and attenadance .

No i did not have to give and group discussion or interview test . You only have to given jee (joint entrance exam) organised by nta( national test agency) and secured cutoff of your percentile according to the counselling process .

Dtu nightlife is not aout clubs or parties but about friendships , late night discussions , food runs and hostel bonding . hostel entry times are strict especially for girls, but within the campus, it feels safe due to security gaurds and cctv. Outside the campus, students often visit hudson lane and gbt nagar .The library stays open late , and many students study together late at night The gym and canteens usually close at evening.
