- The gender ratio of the college is bad, like there are 10 boys per 1 girl, however it might improve with time as girls quota is also there.
- Infrastructure of the college campus is very great, Like the twin towers and Raj Soin Hall (The best place to Hangout)
- Many companies come for campus placements
Dislikes
- New Examination rule is weird like no washroom for 3 hours feels like inhuman
- 75% attendance mandatory rule, this wasn't before but now it is here.
- DTU is known for the best fests in Delhi, but this year no fest is happening due to some admin and CC issue (Freshers even got cancelled)
Course Curriculum Overview
The first year courses for some branches may not be relevant but again its extremely branch specific, like Computer Science Engineers are doing few subjects which are of there no use and like of my branch that is ITCY the use of physics is not needed but still its there. so yeah relevancy for first year courses are bit less but ok.
Internships Opportunities
Companies come for providing internships, but to be honest getting a placement in DTU is less competetive than getting an internship. On campus internship is a bit difficult but here the DCE Brand name comes that easily provide you with off campus placements and ofcourse you require skills.
Placement Experience
Again Placements are Top Notch even better than few IITs NITs, and was one of the top reason of me chosing DTU, Many Companies visit after 3 year that is 6 sem when you can sit for the placements and nearly 80% of total students get placed and also with good placements
Fees and Financial Aid
250000 is the approx annual fees (including 2 sems) for DTU, there are various types of scholarships also available that students can avail. The Placement ratio of DTU is also good, with good average packages(better than few IITs and NITs).
Campus Life
DTU is known for its chill campus life, a great sports complex, many socities and clubs to join, the twin towers are good places, and fests like Yuvaan (the literature fest) and sports event like Aavahan(sports fest) happen. and the Great Engifest is also there.
Admission
For a good percentile in JEE Mains and for a delhi resident there are 3 to 4 colleges like DTU NSUT IIITD etc. so DTU is the oldest and DCE is a brand name so i chose it. But If DTU Didn't exist i would go for NSUT as its also a great College with a lush great campus, great environment and good placements.
Faculty
There is one faculty per subject, and each class consists of either 64 or 75 students (depending on the branch), the review for each faculty is random so we can't say anything, like some are very good but some are extremely bad.
Night Life
Nightlife is great, for dayscholars the out time is 11 but ofcourse you can stay back, they allow it with a bit of scolding. there is a gym which not gonna lie could be improved. For late night eating cravings there is Deltech cafe and many places on Amul Lane.
