Remarks

Birla institute off technology mesra is 15 kilometer from the maine city so if you want to buy something you have toh go the city via Bus or take auto. it's very expensive as it is a private college and there is also extra charges for mess and hostel

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is good but it is very old and it does not follo choice based credit system also. But the course is very much familiar to the gate structure course. Exam in the college is very tough there are 4 invigilator

Placement are good in the computer science branch there is 99% placement and in electronics and communication engineering also. Microsoft also comes to our college to give placement and internshipssss

A technical fest called pantheon which is mainly based in the technology og different types and things. A cultural fest called bitotsav which is the largest fest of the college in same Bollywood satrs come

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very high a normal lower middle class family can not afford the fee cause it's not feasible it's very expensive as it is a private college and there is also extra charges for mess and hostel

Fees and Financial Aid

Birla institute off technology mesra offer a scholarship called GP birla scholarship in which the scholarship is given in the basis of gpa. Higher the gpa higher the scholarship you will get and only one scholarship

Campus Life

In extracurricular activities there are many clubs in the college which running by the college students and they are very good. Labs are very good but the apparatus are very old almost 50 years old.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a string alumni network they also form a club called Birla institute of technology old students association (bitosa) and they usually meets the current students. Senior are very helpful in the campus

Admission

After clearing jee mains then after attending the counseling in the college and the after giving the proper documents in the college and by giving the admission fee and then after by going in the computer lab and registering for the course

The faculty of the college is okay. Some of the faculty is good the have a very huge knowledge and and a crystal clear concept but some of the faculty are very bad they don't teach good overall it is good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
