Course Curriculum Overview

4

The teaching methods are not much unique. The teaching lessons are projector based , lesson plans are conducted on white and black board with ppts for better comprehension. Anthropology is a discipline that always compels you to be on fields rather in libraries or classrooms . Areas of improvement can be bringing novelty in the teaching methods , lesson plans .

Internships Opportunities

1

Internship opportunities are provided amongst Student unions , across the entire Delhi University but not in Hansraj that often . A lot relies on participation and actively exploring opportunities . If one surfs the opportunities they would be definitely Crossing paths with good ones

Placement Experience

3

From 3rd year , they become eligible for opportunities for placements with max being 8.5 lpa , and is affiliated to well known brands from Infosys , google and many more. There's around 60-70 % getting placements

Fees and Financial Aid

For UG Bsc. Hons courses the fees per year is 33000/- for the rest 3 or 4 years. Hostel fees is 59,720 for males and 81,040 for females. For foreign students it is 57,103. For OBC , SC , ST, it amounts to Rs.895. There are no profound scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good , pretty giving college vibes. Also canteen facilities also include Nescafe and coca cola . The societies are also really running good and active . It also is quite active in arranging pompous fests , dandiya nights and extravagant diwali melas

Admission

Hansraj has NIRF 3 . With good alumini and also better internships , placements. Admission process is not complicated. Just pay the amount and get enrolled. Cutoff in cuet is 750+ . After paying the fees an acknowledgement slip is issued on the virtue of which the entry inside the premises is permitted.

Faculty

4

The faculty is approachable but there are difinitely teachers of different temperament. Since I belong to the Anthro dept , the teachers of Anthropology are really grounded. Specifically HOD , SM Patnaik , Avitoli Mam and Abigail mam and Dr. MK singh. Exams are medium to difficult, and there are mid semesters , internal assessments , class assessments, and a university exam at the end of each semester that is two university exams in a year.

Night Life

5

There is a built in library with all the wide range books , Nescafe delivering cold coffee and espressos of widespread varieties. With malka ganj and kamla nagar markets closely located , they suffice children with all the facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.
