What Students Say
Likes
- Faculty is very supportive and approachable, Their mentorship has helped me grow both academically and personally

- The infrastructure is decent with labs, computer centers, library and classrooms.
Dislikes
- The placements opportunities are better for Computer and IT branches
- The Hostel facility is limited and mostly for local students, so outstation students have to depend on private hostels.
- The extracurricular activities sometimes clash with academics
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course mainly because it is high demand in todays industry. The curriculum focuses mostly on acedemic subjects and theroy. While these are important, the course doesnt provide enough exposure to real world applications or current industry trends. More practical training , workshops or projects aligned with what is happening in the industry would make it more useful for future careers. Focus more on industry- relevant skills rather than only acdemics subjects. Include hands - on - projects , internships, or case studies that reflects real world scenarios Adopt teaching methods that encourage practical problem solving rather than just theoretical learning The exams are easy and enjoyable providing a relaxed assessment environment While this course is academically strong and the exams are manageable , it would be much more valuable if it balanced academics with real world skill-building
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards. Some of the companies that vist or college include : Capgemini, Wipro , tcs , Hexware and other private firms. However the number of students placed on canpus is low because most student focus on M.Tech or higher studies rather than placements. Highest on - campus package - around 5 LPA Highest off - campus package - around 8-9 LPA Average Package - Approximately 5 LPA Profiles - Software development roles and IT related positions Only about 10% of students get placed through on - campus recruitment due to the preference for higher studies My plan is try for off - campus opportunity, as the on-campus options are limited and the majority of students prefer pursuing M.Tech
Fees and Financial Aid
For my admission I got a TFWS seat and since I am a girl student, as per Maharastra Goverment's rule , I only have to pay 11,745 per year. This is only the tution fee, no other charges like lab, development or admission fee are taken from me. For my batchmates, the fees are different : 1. General category students pay around 90,000 to 1,00,000 per year and now it has increased to about 1,11,000 per year 2. EWS/OBC category students pay around 50,000 per year 3. SC/ST category students pay a very small amount , usually 3,000 to 4000 per year because most of their fees are waived Regarding scholarships and financial aid,our college accepts all goverment schemes.Students can get EBS scholarships, and Merit - cum - Need scholorships. For girls, there is a special goverment rule that reduces the tution fees to just 11,745
Campus Life
Annual Events - Include sports competitions, cultural gatherings, and various fun activities that bring students together Technical Events - For example , TechnoBharti , usually held in February , focuses on technical competitions and workshops The libary has large collection of books , covering almost all subjects making it easy to study and refer for projects Labs are well-equipped with PCs smart boards and WIFI connectivity Classrooms provided a comfortable learning environment with the necessary tech support Students can particiapte in different sports events and physical activities during the annual events The GDC club exits though there arent many other active student run clubs
Admission
I applied to other good college in Kolhapur , Like KIT and D. Y. Patil but their cutoffs were too high, so I coudn't secure admission there. For Computer Science Engineering(cse) in this college: General seat - The cutoff was 77(CET Score) , which I met. TFWS(Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) seat : The cutoff was 86, which I also met. Since the cutoff here was comparatively lower, I got admission and decided to take it . Honestly I didnt have any other concrete plan for a college if I handnt gotten this one
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio at our college is good , and teachers are approachable whenever we need academic or personal guidance. Most professors are experienced and explain concepts in a way that connects theory with practical applications. I especially like prof. Sagar patil sir who tecahes us technical subjects. he not only teaches us but also mentor us for career choices which I find very valuable Some of teacher are I dont like , I cant mention there name but they dont teach properly..they need to learn that topic first. more than them students know that topic The exam includes two internal tests with practical assessments followed by final university exam. Internal test are easy to moderate in difficulty and help us revise topics.University exam is also easy cause Question banks are provided so its very easy to pass,The marking scheme is transparent and most student able to clear the exam.
Night Life
the college does not provide a gym only the boys hostels is available on campus. For girls and most other students, private hostels are options. The college hostel is generally for first year students College campus is well maintained with lots of greenery clean and peaceful for studying or relaxing in the evening Students usually hang out outside the campus at numerous cafes and local food spots like popular "Kau katta" area Girls mostly stay in their private hostels at night while boys tend to hang out outside more Nightlife is simple and safe , with studnets unwinding , socializing , and bonding in nearby cafes or campus green spaces
