I have choosen maths hons because I have a fear of maths so to get rid of it I have choosen maths department It really prepares for the real life like everyone knows about data analysis and all Exams frequency is comfortable for students But on the other hand out time table is so hectic as it starts from 10.00 and end at 5.00 looks like an evening college

Fees and Financial Aid

My full course fee is 23920 and our college didn't provide it's breakdown and yes the fee is increasing yearly as we can see in the trend And there are some scholarships on the basis of your caste and course I think so

Campus Life

5

I have no experience about college festival but i know that only a fest held annually named AVAHAAN Library is fulfilled with books and all academic books it covers Computer in computer labs are in worst condition don't even compelete the whole strength

Admission

Nowadays on the basis of merit everything just happens with ai in cuet allotment but other college and courses are above from my college and Most preferred exam is cuet and all process is on basis of cutoff and seats available I haven't got a rejection because I got into college in first round

Faculty

3

-4:48 is the ratio professors to students - I think the best teacher is yogendra sir of probability and of it and data analysis because he teaches in a very simple way and also he guide us well for future - I don't like chandrashekhar nishad sir of real analysis because he teaches too complicatedly

Night Life

3

3-4 machines are in gym, cafeteria is so good, library closing is at 4pm Campus timing starts at 8am and end at 5.30 Hangout places outside the college is average at satya niketan No hostel inside the campus

Placement Experience:

Geology course doesn't produce any campus placement just after UG since it is a field which needs in deep knowledge. But, Hansraj College make you apt for competitive exams after Undergraduation also the atmosphere here help you to prepare for Entrance exams for further education in best Universities. Also scoring very good marks make you offerable for various scholarships from top institution from all over the world since University of Delhi and Hansraj College are globally recognised. My current plan is to do an MBA or PG Diploma in Management (especially in the field of Environment, Forestry or Travel and Tourism).

Indira Gandhi National Open University - [IGNOU], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Sep 5, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

Placement Experience:

Hansraj College's active placements cell is managing both intenrships and placements. Mind you both are great as our college is known for giving students the core placements and therefore Mathematics Hons students are placed in companies where they can make the best use of their abilities and also in the role they are best suited.
