What Students Say
Likes
- CAMPUS INSFRASTRUCTURE: The college boats a beautiful campus with well maintained buildings and hostels. The greenery, open spaces , and modern structure made it a vibrant place to live and learn.
- COLLEGE MEMORIES & ENVIRONMENT: The competitive yet collaborative environment kept me constantly motivated. The student culture was a mix of ambition and camaraderie, pushing everyone to give their best while also enjoying the journey.
- FEST AND TOURNAMENTS : College fests and tournaments were heart of our social life. whether it was participating in cultural nights, managing technical events, or cheering at sports matches, these experiences helped me develop skills in fun way.
Dislikes
- FACULTY INTERACTION: One Major drawback was the lack of student friendly atmosphere from some professors.
- OUTDATED CURRICULUM: The core courses specially in the technical and engineering departments, followed an outdated syllabus that lacked alignment with current industry stabderd.
- LABORATORY FACILITIES: There was a noticeable shortage of modern instruments and experimental tools in our laboratories which limited hands on exposer and made us heavily depends on theory.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course and Curriculum: The curriculum was partly outdated, lacking alignment with current industry trends, specially in technical and fest-evolving subjects. The exams are not too dfficult if you are sincere throughts the semester but if you try to cram everything at the last moment, you will likely stuggle.
Internships Opportunities
The campus offered many internships like USIP, Hand-on Lab, and roles in the Samsung Ml Lab for data science ans AI ML engineers students. You could intern under the professors too. On campus drives in pre-final year brought top campanies aware and active student had great opportunity.
Placement Experience
The college claims 100 % placement, but it didn't happen for our batch due to the 2024 job market crach driven by AI disruptions. Still, placement were decent those who stayed aware prepared throughout their journey managed to secure good packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
First year 190000 Second Year 206000 Third year 219000 Fourth year 229000 these are only academics fees if we are choosing the hostels and mess fecelities then it would be needed a seperate fee for that as well.
Campus Life
My campus life was quite busy as i actively engage in social and club activities. As the club head at YUVAAN one of the most cultural fest society, I managed various events and responsibilities. I also perticipated innumerous campus festivals like ENJI FEST, YUVAAN FEST< and several technical fests throughout my college journey.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities were great with AC, Geysers, water coolers, newly maded rooms, recliners chairs a goos quality bade and a saparate almirahs. Boys could get single room in old hostels, while girls had tripal sharing rooms. All rooms were well furnished and comfortable, offering all essential amenities.
Admission
I had applied to several engineering colleges including NSUT, IIT Delhi and so on. I recevied confermed admission in both DTU and NSUT for the same branch. i choose DTU mainly beacuse of its student friendly environment , better culture compaired to other s. DTU has a slightly more open and flexible atmosphere , and its societies fests and peer interactions are often more active and inclusive.
Faculty
1.Faculty to student ratio & approaches : The Faculty to student ratio was decent, but professors were generally not approacheable. 2.Best and Worst Faculty: A few professord stood out their clarity and support, but many were rigid and unhelpful. 3.Exams Systems: There Were two sessonals and final exam per subject. 4.Course Curriculum: THe curriculam was partly outdated, lacking alignment with current industry trends.
Night Life
Cournish campus offered vibrant nightlife with 24/7 food from night canteens, late-night acces to the gym, cafateria and libraries. Boys could roam freely even at 2-3 am . Popular hangout spots including OAT, Sports Complex, BR Suditorium, and the new JP Saini Auditorium with a cafateria.
