Likes

Faculty is quite helpful and supporting.
College has good placement records and provide internships.
Campus is clean and nearby station also.

Dislikes

Fees is quite high as compared to other courses.
Hostels are not available for far away students.
Canteens are not available,you have to go outside.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course include R,Sql,Pyt.Projects are given every sem.Internships are compulsory.Exams are every 3 months.Regular cie are taken.Theory proofs are not required.Maths part is too much.Teaching is excellent.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 68000 per year

Placement Experience

From sem2 only eligible.Hdfc bank,nelsen iq,kantar.All these companies came.Min 3 to 8 Lpa package.60% students placed.Highest package was 10lpa.Looking for data analyst.And further data scientist also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is Rs 68175 for gen.SC/ST fees is Rs 3000 yearly.merit cum based scholarships.Income based scholarships.Govt based,etc.Annual income less than 8 lakh.Cgpa should be good.Extra curricular is optional

Campus Life

National stats day is organised.Various cultural events also.Social groups are not much.Campus life is limited.Classrooms are advanced.Stats fest organised each year.Lot of journals & books.Library is vast.

Admission

I applied to MU,Somaiya.But RJ is near.And it has good course.Selected in all colleges.Bsc stats is eligibility.I also gave cuet.But decided to stay here.Min 4 Sem stats.Or Min 4 Sem maths.MU is very theoretical.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:20,so personal attention is given.Facilities like labs,library and wifi are very good.Exams are easy to pass.Some faculties are really while 1-2 are not that good.Course curriculum is industry focused.

Interview Experience

No discussions.No interview taken.Based on 12th marks.Admission done.Merit based.Income based.Different criterias.Process is tedious.Submit all documents.10th,12th marksheet.College form submit.Other documents.

Night Life

There is no hostel.12 to 5 college time.Cafe,canteens not there.2 Cinemas near college.Neelyog cinema.Pvr odeon mall.Night life not present.College open till 5 pm.Locality is quite safe here.Library is nice.

From which semester students become maximum students are placement.company name I don't know I no experience , highest package is 15LPA and average is 5 to 6LPA , then percentage of placements students is 50% to 60%percentage students are playes.

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

A campus life you must live once in your life - Fergusson College

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the GIPE are decent. This year the highest package offered was 18 lakhs per annum by Deloitte and IDFC FIRST Bank. Although the placements are not 100% but it's around 60%. Students need to work hard and score well in aptitude test and they should start the preparation from the second semester onwards so that they can easily manage their end semester exams as well as the aptitude test. The average placement package is around 8-9 lakhs. My plan is to get a corporate job and gain some experience and exposure in the corporate world and learn how the things actually work. Many companies that come to the college are looking for data analytics role. The ratio of the companies looking for consultant, risk analyst is less based on market demand and other circumstances.

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.

Nice Learning Journey at GVAIET

l applied to other colleges like VJTI and Sardar Patel but got admission only at GVAIET. I chose GVAIET because of good faculty, updated syllabus, and better placements.
