Nitin Singla's Review On Maharishi Markandeshwar - [MMU], Ambala

I had given IIT, AIEEE which used to happen in my time. Got 835 state rank as per AIEEE ranking. I selected this college over others because of good placements/facilities than other colleges nearby.

For internship, students used to take care of their internships by their own with their contacts in the field of engineering/IT. I got trained in BEL, Panchkula where we had an internship on how the electronic devices are configured, tested, work and sold in the market before getting used by army man.

TCS, Infosys and Birlasoft are some of the companies which came into our campus.Beside that being under Kurukshetra University, a lot of off campus placements used to happed. Like we attended one in Alwar for L & T, Some in Landran and some in Chitkara. 60% of the overall candidates were placed in my view.Companies offered from 2.5L - 3.5L annualy.

There used to happen an annual festival and it used to include all sort of activities from plays, songs, dance performances and other stage activities. These functions used to give a nice break to build better relationships between students and alumni.

There was a good male and female ratios. In IT, it was 50:50 female ratios where as in another there were more of male. But overall, it was a good ratio. Labs facilities were quite good. I never found any faculty machines. I never faced any discrimination on color, cast and religion. Students and faculty were quite helpful to help and grow when required.

Hostels are decent enough in totality. There were both single and sharing rooms. In sharing also there were rooms of 2 people, 3 people sharing.Food in mess was ok, not that great.

Alumni was good with rich experience and used to help a lot even if that requires personal session/discussion on some topic.

Faculty was quite and devoted in teaching and helping students to learn and grow. Research areas could be explored more and students should be provided more of research and learning while researching kind of platform.
