Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum is adopted from IIT Kanpur and hence I find it very relevant. The curriculum is very relevant for exams like GATE and the curriculum is a bit old yet still practical for all the branches. the teachers should teach on the blackboard and not on slides. They should also bring their own ideas to the class. There are a minimum of 5 exams for one course every semester, 3 quizzes, one midterm and an end term. They are moderate to difficult in nature, depending on the course and the instructor.

Internships Opportunities

1

Media.net- SDE Intern Role(Stipend 1L per month) Deloitte- Product Intern, Data Science Intern, UX Intern(30k per month) Algouniversity- Problem Setter Intern(30k per month), SDE Intern(1L per month) BNY-SDE Intern(75k per month) Projects required are general industry relevant ones and you need and you need to meet minimum cgpa criteria

Placement Experience

4

Students can participate in college placements since the 7th semester. Some comapnies and their offers are: Samsung-15LPA, IBM-13LPA, Deloitte-12LPA, DE Shaw-52LPA, etc. Percentage of students placed for Y21 batch was 86%. I will work i the corporate sector after graduating. That is my plan as of now.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 450000 INR at the start of your first year with a 10% increment every year. The total fees all inclusive will be 2156000 INR. Tuition fees is close to 18.5L from that, admission fees will be 25000 taken at the time of counselling. It is a refundable amount. No Reservation is there in the campus. There are three kinds of scholarships, BPL, JEEAdvance Rank <12k and 9.25CGPA+. The latter two get a 25k discount on fees semester-wise.

Campus Life

3

The Annual fests are Vivacity(February, Cultural fest), Plinth(January, Technical fest), Despo(February, Sports fest). Library has a lot of books and they are readily accessible as well via the OPAC. Classrooms are lecture theatres, with digi boards and they are fully air conditioned. There are many clubs in the institute and there are various types of courts like Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Squash, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

The room has ducts to keep you cooled in summers and it is like a normal hostel room with 2 beds in a double room, 2 almirahs, 2 tables, 2 chairs, etc. Meal is updated periodically by COSHA student body according to the review by the students. It is not too hygienic but the food quality is decent. The hostel affordability is a lot, since it is just 50000 for a year with the mess food included and believe me the facilities are top notch. The locality is not good, it is a village area and the campus is completely residential so you cannot rent a PG outside.

Admission

I was getting admission in a few top NITs lower branches and CSE in IIITs like Nagpur and Sricity. I opted for this college because of its campus life and balanced placements. There is a separate counselling for LNMIIT. You need 60% in board exams. You need the JEE Mains score primarily for admission here. Cutoff for branches are: CSE- 97%ile, CCE- 96%ile, ECE 94-95%ile, Mech- 92-93%ile.

Faculty

4

Faculty is student ratio is 1:10. Faculty is actually very amicable and is easy to approach in their cabins. Dr. Narendra Kumar from HSS department is a good professor because of his good teaching style and versatile nature.Best faculties are Dr. Sunil Pandey from Mech department and Dr. Prateek and Rathore from CCE department. There is no any faculty I don't like. All are good in their persona. There are 3 quizzes on an average in a semester, a mid term exam and an end term exam. 70% students clear the exam. The curriculum is adopted from IIT Kanpur and is very relevant.

Night Life

1

The gym has been recently renovated and it has improved a lot. Library is readily available to the students but is overcrowded during exam times. It opens at 9 in the morning and closes at 10 in the night. Hostel in time is 10:45 PM and you can go out again at 6 in the morning.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
