Course Curriculum Overview

3

Computer science was my own interest so i chose it on my own, the curriculum is just the base knowledge u cant rely on the college to u get trained enough for the placements or job u need to manage time for self study so that u end up getting placed. the teachers strictly rely on the course curriculum no in-depth knowledge will be spoon-fed u need to learn on ur own interest. u will feel as if u r just writing exams and tests every week with assignments, projects, paper submissions . the entire college - life is jam packed with exams and cia's(continuous internal assessment)

Internships Opportunities

4

internship opportunities are very less for computer department. you'll need to find on ur own from outside. you need to make ur own projects apart from academics so thatt u stand out of the crowd and increase ur chances of getting placed.

Placement Experience

4

students become eligible for placements only from the third year. companies come in prior for internship roles and smoe even offer PPO . Top recruiters are Salesforce, IBM, WellsFargo, Honeywell, Aspire systems, Infosys, Tcs, Wipro, Accenture, Aditya Birla, Cognizant, Capgemini. minimum package was 4.5 for 3 year ug programs with average of 6.0 lpa and highest of 20 lpa. 80% of them get placed across work roles such as HR Trainee , Full stack developer, management trainee, financial analyst.

Fees and Financial Aid

karnataka students-84000 5000(1st year admission fees)=89000(including extracurriluar and lab) 2nd,3rd year fees (84000) other state students-104000 NRI-200000 hostel (male)-55000-60000 hostel(female)-33000-55000

Campus Life

5

No doubt christ has the best fests and department wise fests. Blossoms is the best held around december. christ has great library facility as well. the classrooms are spacious enough with smartboards and sports has also more importance like other xtra-curricular.

Admission

This college has a reputation and companies that come here offer better packages than other colleges because of the brand the college carries. Christ university has more diversified set of students with no bias and has the best campus vibe and extra curricluar activites. i also applied for jain and dayanand sagar but their fees is not worth even the course christ has the most affordable and drug free campus with good safety.

Faculty

4

The faculty strength is enough in number for the student ratio. Great mentors and approachable at any point of time with many counsellors as well. Computer science department has great set of faculties. there will be CIA's conducted before the mid sem and end sem. Regular assignments also will be provided along with lab practicals and regular lab submissions. The course curriculum is not upto the industry level demand. however exam difficulty is from easy to moderate.

Interview Experience

5

We dint have any GD after the pandemic, interview will include ur personal intro, General knowledge and subject knowledge as well. first is the entrance test followed by skill assessment and then interview. if u are good to go with ur 12 th basics and general affairs you can easily crack with good communication skills.

Night Life

5

The college has gym facility as well with basic fees. the college has plenty of canteens for each block and cafeteria's too. first year campus timings in central campus is from 9:45 to 3:45 and there are plenty of cafe's and resto bars around the area. safe to roam at night

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

The course i choose is bsc because of the different subjects in this course it has electronics and computer science . The curriculum prepares me by special courses and the new ways of teaching. The methods of teaching is good but we need new ways like learning with games. The timing of exam is 3 hours for eights marks, and the difficulty is the benches are not comfortable

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
