An honest review

The course structure has changed a lot. They now teach whatever is relevant to the course and not the outdated syllabus like chemistry and carpentry and stuffs. So far we have mastered C language, data structures in C, Python, web designing, Semiconductor devices, Computer Architecture, some basic linear algebra and calculus for engineers, used CNC,VMC machine, 3D printed, worked on innovation and entrepreneurship, studied chemistry, discrete structures and theory of logics and a few more things. We have made so many projects in the first year itself. Therefore, we are being prepared for the real world problems too.

The placement is quieg decent seeing the situation everywhere but you need to work hard for it. People here are really skilled in technology and coding. I want to do something big and great so maybe placement isn't an option for me or maybe it is. I'm just confused.

I am paying 1.4 lacs annually for college and around 1.07 or 1.1 lacs for hostel annually which is non AC, the price for AC room is around 1.37 lacs. I think everybody paid the same fees no matter what the category. There are scholarship available for students like UP scholarship and various other scholarships under National Scholarship Scheme

The campus life is very lively which makes everything the best. There are a tons of clubs and you easily find one based on your interests. The infrastructure of the college is really better than other colleges, I am quiet sure of this because I have seen other colleges myself. There are many events conducted time to time where you can participate and interact with people. Sports club of the college is one the best, I myself play sports.

The hostel charges are quiet decent, the food is fine and I'll sag that it's better than the rest, quality of meal depends on your hostel, there are 3 girls hostel and 6 boys hostel. Hostel get full on the first day of registration so if you want one then come on the very first day

I have read a tons of reviews about KIET and comparing the average package and the fees structure, I felt that it is better to go for KIET and as it is autonomous too, it is an advantage in itself. Admission is usually done through UPTAC counseling

KIET is now autonomous, that means that it decides what it wants to teach the students and it does not follow the outdated aktu curriculum. The faculties here are good and well qualified, some are supportive as family. Now that KIET is autonomous, the exam and marking schemes has changed drastically. The internals weightage overall is 50% and so is the external.

The hostel timing for the girls is 8 p.m. and before that you can hangout freely with your friends. The campus looks even more beautiful at night. There are a total of 4 cafeterias in our college, there's a 2 floor central library, indoor gym in girls hostel and a gym in campus for boys. The boys may roam around freely at night.
