Likes

FFCS(Fully flexible credit system) is available here.
Veg Mess (PR CATERS) is providing better food with salads and good quality food.
No uniform in this university which makes feel free for students.

Dislikes

Non A/C blocks are not good as expected.
Distance from hostel to academic blocks is a bit far.
Cant survive here in summers without ac in class rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm actually interested in this course since my childhood , that was the reason that made me take this course , here in vit vellore curriculum and system is also prepared very well that every student is free but it will be according to the slots of the students chosen by FFCS

Internships Opportunities

Companies like HP,PAYPAL ,TATA MOTORS, Qualcomm came to our university and provided internships.it provided a stipend and internship of 50,000 per month for the students . students here are innovative and make many projects and get internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placements of our college is good that it has an average package of 10-12 LPA.students from 3rd year second semester are eligible for placements. Google ,Accenture and MOTORQ and some other companies visited our college. MOTORQ is providing highest package of 1Cr PA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I joined in the Vellore Institute of Technology in 2024 by VITEEE 2024 . I got a rank of 7000 and I am paying my college tuition fee as 400000 per year and also I have taken college hostels of 3 sharing AC and paying a fee of 146000 per year. caution fees 15000. admission fee of Rs.15000, and registration fee for 1500.

Campus Life

Here in VIT vellore the events and fests take place continuously , every year a Event named RIVIERA will be conducted in which most of the celebrities come here for the event. and small fests and events will be conducted here by the students and managed by the clubs by the students

Hostel Facilities

I've taken AC 3BED and the room is good and I've taken the Veg mess and it was quite good than any other veg mess. so I am happy with the mess and room. Registration for the first year students for hostel rooms will be done on online before the students join the university

Hostel Fee: INR 146000 per year

Admission

I have also applied for AMRITA and SRM which made me chose this one because this doesn't have any uniform rules and also had a fee which is reasonable here. i didn't get any rejection from the other private colleges. admission process for this college is that you have to wrote VITEEE and get the rank and attend the counselling process and then choose your branch and get into the university.

Faculty

Here the faculty to student ratio is 1:20 and each faculty will be given 20 members of students whom they will be taking care of , and some of the faculty are very good with the students but we cant expect everyone like that.

Night Life

There is a best hangout spot in VIT vellore named FOODYS . In VIT vellore for men's there are 3 paid GYM's and a free gym in which students are allowed for workouts and more exercises.9:00 PM is the timing for closure of hostel gates and students should be in rooms after 9:00.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

I applied to a few colleges for Btech Biotechnology but I finally chose VIT, Vellore because it clearly stood out in terms of academic qualities, facilities, and career prospects. I applied to several universities including SRM University, manipal Institute of Technology., and a state government college. SRM confirmed my admission but I chose VIT because of its Biotechnology Reputation, state of the art labs, vibrant research environment and exposure to industry collaborations. manipal rejected my applications because the entrance exam rank was slightly lower below the closing rank that year and I believe competetion was too high there. My Life inside VIT'V

I applied for tnea college and got my seat allocated in normal private engineering colleges B.tech cse. I applied for 2nd round too and got my seat allocated in a normal safety college but beside these studying in int mtech in vit vellore is better than studying btech cse in normal private college. LIFE AT VIT

I choose VIT for the following reasons: 1. The ambience and the greenary of the campus . The campus is almost 372 acres which is a pretty decent size. 2. The safety of girl students. Well I first dreamt of going into IITs, NITs and BITs, but due to my health issues, I didn't get the expected marks and so I can't make it in that college. At the same time, I have given the VITEEE exam as well , and fortunately I got this exam cleared with the good rank, and so I got Data Science as my second priority in VIT vellore and hence by suggestion of my seniors , I made my mind and taken admission in this college.
