Dislikes

There are very less sports facilities in the campus
The placement record is not very strong.
he washrooms are not well maintained in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum does not really prepare you for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. This is due to the fact that the course is mainly theoretical based and not practical based.

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 245000 per year

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Notable companies include Microsoft, Qualcomm, Morgan Stanley, Atlassian,Amazon, Walmart etc. Highest package was of 80 LPA. Average Package ranges between 9 LPA to 10 LPA. Approx 80% of the students secure job offers.

Campus Life

There is an annual cultural festival of NSUT,typically held in March, featuring many events named as MOKSHA.There is also a primary technical festival, also scheduled around March, focusing on technological innovations and competitions, named as INNOVISION. The central library is well-equipped with Periodicals,Reading Rooms and Digital Access.

Admission

I applied to MAIT too and got a comfirmed admission in its B.Tech CS course. I choose this college over MAIT because it is a better college and also a government college. Exam which is accepted for my course is JEE. You need to first give JEE and then take JAC Counselling.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:100. The faculty to student relationship is pretty good. The faculty is very easily approchable. There are 2 exams in each semester:Mid semester exam and End semester exam The exams are moderate level

Night Life

The Central Library operates from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on Saturdays. The Cafeteria of the campus serves a variety of food items. As of now,the campus does not have operational hostels. The college gates close at 8:00 pm

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Smart classes are available in every room. Cantens are available.
There are many labs for every subject either it's of EE, ECE, CSE

Dislikes

New college so there are no societies or clubs.
Fees is too high for general category students.
No facilities of hostel available in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am an Electrical Engineering student. I chose this course because the demand for skilled Electrical Engineers is high leads to job security and also we can keep our options open for other fields by choosing this branch.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
