Likes
- The Campus is huge. You can walk around many places.
- The academic buildings are big and can accommodate many students at a time.
- The placements and internships offered by companies are good.
Dislikes
- The food given by the mess is just worst and disgusting.
- The hostel rooms are very small and the bathrooms are not clean.
- The teachers don't care if you are understanding anything or not.
Course Curriculum Overview
They are introducing new subjects that may work well in near future. These subjects are good to be learned about. They should completely remove the subjects that are not beneficial to students as they are irrelevant to course or a waste of time due to non-usage in their future work.
Fees and Financial Aid
In first year, I paid around 1.5 Lakhs. The tuition fees is around 65000. There is also caution fees and various other fees for many categories. There are fee waivers for students belonging to categories and also for students having annual income less than 1L or between 1L to 5L. Till now, I am not aware of any scholarship provided directly by the institute.
Campus Life
There are many fests that happen in our college. Some of them are Innovision, Cosmopolitan and NITrutsav. These fests are celebrated in different months. Some sports events like Wriddhi also takes place in our institute.
Admission
I gave the JEE Mains exam that got me a rank and according to that rank, this was the best government college that I could be enrolled in, so I took admission here. For admission in NITs, you have to give JEE Mains and secure a good rank and a cutoff percentile to get admitted. Then, you can fill your choices.
Faculty
Some faculty members are good and friendly to students. Some are very rude. You can try to approach them but in a formal way, like emailing them first. Exams are moderate, but as the students don't seem to understand a word the teachers teach, many fail. Most subjects are irrelevant to course.
Night Life
Gym facilities are good, they have given good equipments. Cafeterias inside the campus are good but are too expensive in comparison to the market rate. Some famous hangout places in our campus are Golden Jubilee building, Nagapond and various other go-to spots.
