Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is comprehensive but could use more real-world applications. I chose this course for its mix of theory and projects which will help me to expand my knowledge. More interactive teaching and practical assignments would help. Exams are fair and strict but very clustered having two subjects in one day

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies like adobe ,Amazon ,Deloitte ,IBM ,etc offer internships and placements to all sixth plus semester students. In 2023 a girl was placed with one lakh stipend in Adobe company. From fifth semester we will have a whole curriculum to prepare mini projects for our CV and prepare for the interviews.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placements from seventh or eighth semester depending upon their choice of placement. If it is an internship program then students are eligible from sixth semester. Percentage of students getting placements are very high as out of 220 students 198 were placed in good companies from the last pass out batch in information science department My plans after my engineering degree is to get into a good university in the United States of America and do my masters in computer science field itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have opted for information science engineering and got in through management quota. The fees structure for management was 6 lakh per annum. You can even join through CET and ComedK ,the fees will vary between 80000 to 2.75 lakh per annum accordingly based on your ranking.

Campus Life

4

As an introvert it was difficult finding people to match my vibe and the way of thinking with. But since third semester finding a group of people who have similar aspirations and interest has been a game changer ,it has changed my outlook for the college experience. In first sem there was a fest called pantheon in my college where famous artists like Brodha V were performing ,it was a very good experience for someone who wanted the whole college experience. When it comes to facilities and technology provisions within the classrooms a projector is always used for better explanations about the codes and programs. Sports and activities have a whole different club as there are many opportunities in my college for students with a professional sport background and even beginners. There are many clubs in my college such as AURA-the fashion team ,NATARANG- the classical dance team and so many more for every field like singing ,western dances ,sports etc.

Admission

BMS college of engineering was my other option ,but I chose RNSIT over that college because of word of mouth and the distance from my home. As I got into RNSIT through management quota and was planning on joining any college through management I did not get rejected many any college. RNSIT does not have any of its own exams ,students can only get in through CET ,ComedK, or management quota. The minimum cut off for cet rank is within twenty thousand for ISE students.

Faculty

5

- The faculty is really supportive with every student ,the HOD of ISE department ,Dr Suresh L is cooperative about internships and placement discussions. - I personally like all faculty members except for Mrs Shyla who gave me a hard time during internals of 1st sem and 3rd sem. I felt very targeted by her for no reason of being wrong. - there are three internals in each sem. The internal consists of 6 subjects in 3 days every month. and they take average of 2 internals in the finals

Night Life

5

An event called algorythem is held in our college in the evenings which is a showcase of all our clubs like fashion ,singing , classical and western dances etc. it is the most enjoyable event. Students usually unwind in a cafe which is right opposite of our college called "Srashtea" it is usually my groups hangout spot as it is a very cute and fun café. Hostel timings for hostel students is a curfew at 9:00 PM.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
