Student Review- Dayananda Sagar University

The course curriculum is good. I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE with specialization in Cybersecurity. We have labs for all the skills that has to be learnt. Exams are there every 40 to 45 days(MSE-1,MSE-2,SEM END).

There are lots of internships given out by the college time to time. It also depends on the skill of the student. You have to be proactive to complete the projects as you will find many ideas on youtube and google. Completing projects results in better job opportunities.

From 6th Semester, students are eligible for placements. Hp,PhonePe,Mindtree,Cognizant,Mercedes Benz and other top companies come for hiring. Highest package was 54 lakh last year. The placement Percentage is not disclosed but it is around 20-25 percent. I will be going for a job either through college placement or outside campus.

As I have passed my KCET exam and secured a ranking eligible by Dayananda Sagar University. My fees in 1st year including all the fees was 1,32,000 approx. In second year, it decreased to 1,27,300 approx. The fees includes the following:- The skill and development fee for me is 21,000. Miscellaneous Fee for me is 30,610. Tution Fee is 65,964. Examination Fee is 10,000.

The campus is very lively as there are events almost everyday. From hackathons to photography workshops to events like Taranga all happen here. The library has a lot of famous books and if requested they will order the book needed for that course, The classrooms are digitalized, AC lecture halls with seating capacity of 200+ students. There are clubs for all the aspects.

I stay in the college Hostel named S Residences. This place has a 4 star hotel lounge. It is very spacious. It has indoor gaming room with foosball and pool(snooker) table, 4 conference room with AC, 1 gym, 1 Music room, 1 movie theater. Hostel fees is more as it has these many features, i stay in 4 sharing, the hostel fees is 1,19,200 and mess food is 84000.

As I mentioned, I am a KCET student and got a college on merit. I love cybersecurity branch as i love Securing networks and companies too. I didnt apply for any colleges as i went through round wise counselling. As of latest, Admission is through Management, JEE mains score, KCET score and COMEDK score. cutoff for my branch in KCET was 27000

Faculty to student ratio is 1:70. As i love maths, I had very good Math Faculty as they helped a lot in increasing my interest and solving my problems easily if i had any. Examinations are easy even if u r a moderate student.The pass percentage is around 95 percent.

Gym is inside the Hostel itself. There is 1 canteen, 3 cafetaria, 1 food truck and 1 restaurant named Grains and Gossip inside the campus. Hostel timings in the night is till 10pm. The campus is very safe as it is completely surrounded by security personnels.
