Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very relevant. It is mostly about Software Planning, Testing and maintenance for the Software Engineering branch. But, it has all other required cources like DBMS, DSA, OOPS, Machine Learning, etc. Testing and planning subjects come very handy in interviews too.

Internships Opportunities

4

A lot of companies visit for internship opportunities. Namely, Microsoft, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Expedia, Google, etc. they offer very good stipends as well. Some of them above 1 Lakh + per month. Even 2 lakhs per month too. Apart front his you can apply and work with DTU startup incubator 's startups in a very high pace environment of startups.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are very good depends a lot on your CGPA thougu initially. As companies put up a cutoff for you to get shortlisted. But, regardless I'd say a lot of companies visit the campus and offer very good packages. A bunch of students opt for study abroad or higher studies in India as well. But, most of them get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU Fee Structure (AY 2021-25) 2021-22: Tuition Fee: 1,30,500 Non-Govt. Component: 20,000 Student Welfare: 35,000 Facilities & Services: 5,000 EWS Fund: 15,000 Exam Fee: 500 Total: 2,06,000 2022-23: Tuition Fee: 1,40,300 Rest same! Total: 2,19,000 2023-24: Tuition Fee: 1,47,300 Rest same! Total: 2,29,000 2024-25: Tuition Fee: 1,55,000 Rest same! Total: 2,36,700 Includes charges for academics, student welfare, research, training, exams, and medi-claim. I paid this much amount as fee. To be honest it's not that worth it. But, the exposure you get studying here not just academically but socially, culturally too is worth a shot.

Campus Life

5

Engifest, Yuvaan, E-Summit, Invictus and Visions all these are the best of their kind. Biggest cultural events across the country. Visions is one of a kind event, which is a 2 day cinematics escapade, featuring the first ever, one and only Video Editing Hackathon boasting participants across the country. And various other competitons and speaker sessions happen throughout this mega event, Visions hostel by Reflect DTU. Apart front this, Engifest is the biggest Cultural Festival of India. It attracts various big names of industry like Shreya Ghoshal, Papon, Sonu Nigam, Siddu Moosewala, Talwinder, Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, etc. Yuvaan is India's biggest Literature and film festival. E-Summit is north India's biggest E-Summit.

Admission

Comparision was between DTU, NSUT and IIITD. IIITD is very expensive comparatively and also too cliche. NSUT has similar academic conduct and curriculum. But, I wanted to choose college life as well on top of that. And DTU has provided me with that indeed. Events, societies, hacakthons, speaker sessions happen every other week you can say. And monumental festivals that have a reputation of being biggest in the country like Engifest, Yuvaan, E-Summit, Invictus and Visions.

Faculty

5

Software Engineering has very good professors. They are very helpful. The course structure and curriculum is quite new so that's good. Exams are compatively very easy from other branches, but again results are relative. So, that's a bummer sometimes. It's better than absolute marking though. HOD ma'am, Prof Ruchika Malhotra comes in top 2% scientists in the world. She is very supportive.

Night Life

5

Night life is crazy. But, sadly for females, there is a curfew after 11 PM. You can't go out side the campus after 10-11 PM but inside you can do whatever you want under some discipline ofc. We have Dominos, Bistro 57, Nescafe, Kitkat Cafe, Hims Cafe, Dosa Plaza, DelTech Cafe(MicMac), Udipi Canteen, Dazzle Dine, Mother Dairy, HPMC and Amul. It is safe to roam around the campus. Outside not much, especially at night.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements
