Course Curriculum Overview

3

The mains aspects that influenced me to choose this course was the availability of this course nearby my state. There is no BA music in my state which includes western music. The availability of western music in my college is the key aspect for me to choose this college. Also the department is full on instruments and a proper studio which drawed me to choose this college. The curriculum really prepares you well and makes you an all rounder in the music teaching field.

Internships Opportunities

5

The details for the intership is that St. Anthony's college offer various internship opportunities and career oriented programs to enhance student employability including placements in well known hotels and companies. There are many internship opportunities like library internships, hospitality internships, general placements in like NIIT, google, TCS, leading insurance companies and healthcare companies.

Placement Experience

4

The students in there end sems which means the 6th are eligible for the campus placements. I am not sure about the companies that visited exactly but i know that those were some companies with good status level. My plans after getting the degree is that i pursure music as my career as an artist.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure is per semester. There are two semesters in a year. Per semester the fees is from 16,000 to 25,000 till date and it is in increasing order. My admission fee was 25,000 and exam fee is 1600 and more if also added back papers. There is no specific benefits i have availed being an OBC.

Campus Life

4

Overall my experience in this college is pretty good. I really enjoy the vibe that is set in the college. The main college event in our college is the college week. Its the week where things like cultural day, fancy dress day, live wire which is a music event where different bands from our own college perform.

Admission

I did applied for the same course which is BA music in NMIMS. But i couldn't choose that college because of the affordability. I chose my college over that because of the affordability and also that it offers the same course which i desired to choose

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is adequate. In my batch there are 31 students for which we have 5 different teachers specific for each subject. The faculties i liked are, Sir Budshaphrang, Sir Adelberge and Ma'am bala. They are really good at teaching us as they don't leave any individual unseen if they need help. They are really respectful towards us and also have a great sense of involvement in the classroom. The only teacher i don't really admire is Ma'am Kanta.

Interview Experience

4

I had to give an audition round for the admission process. In the audition i played the guitar and sang my choice of song which i had already prepared. Besides that the judges asked me to read music notations after which my audition was over. Besides the audition the other criteria which is needed to be fulfilled is that we need to get at least above 55 percent in higher secondary. Which i already passed as i got 71. I really prepared my song and how to perform it in the perfect way besides that i just try to learn, how to speak properly in the way i sound confident enough.

Night Life

2

The nightlife is not something i could talk about in our college as i don't stay in the hostel. Neither do near the college as our college is located down a hill so its not usually preferred by the students to hang around there. We have a gym where students staying in the hostel usually use it. For fooding its one of the best places

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was not my actual mind to opt my major which is history, since it was hard to find open colleges late I had to adjust to it. It might be better since I had a habit of remembering things that are upto no use in the present or maybe better for securing jobs as it is quite in needy in these aspects. It's still not very clear in my part but it partially taught us the basics It gives us 3 hours of time per paper and it's not very different or very hard because it has been always the same pattern along with the portions

The way they prepare the question is the main reason for me to choose this college. They really provide not only bookish knowledge but also how to deal with the real world. The examination that they conduct are very reasonable because they give us the amount of time that a normal students need to be prepared for an examination. So I think it's quite reasonable and nice.
