Likes
- The teaching staff are well qualified, also explain new solving techniques.Our faculty advisor is very friendly and helpful.
- Job opportunities and placements are more in our college. We have good internships which helps us to build our skills and enhance them and gain experience
- We have a auditorium where a movie is screened every week with a good sounding atmosphere
Dislikes
- We have EAA classes twice a week. One is in morning i.e. from 6.00AM to 7.00AM. Other one is on evening i.e. from 5.30 PM to 6.30 PM. I personally donot wake up early in the morning hence I don't like.
- Infrastructure of hostel must be improved. The only problem is about washrooms. They don't even clean them properly
- The signal for our mobile is too low. The ethernet sometimes even stop working
Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching methods are good.They use projectors and some smart boads to teach us. Examination timings are from 9.30AM to 12.00PM. The examination level of every subject varies. Difficulty level varies from student to student. for me I feel maths was toughest of all in sem 1 and chemistry was easy.
Internships Opportunities
As of now I am studying in first year. I hadn't done any internships yet. From the voice of my seniors, I heard that many companies offered internships which helped them to enhance and learn new skills and this also helped them in the interviews as well
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are good. In am from Mechanical engineering. The highest annual package is 22 lakhs in core side and 43 lakhs inn software side. The average is about 13 lpa. Many companies like microsoft, bajaj, kia, google recruited many students.
Fees and Financial Aid
For students belonging to general Category, it comprises of tution fees of 62,500 per semister and hostel fees & mess fees of 16000 and 15000 per semister. For Students belonging to Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) and Scheduled Caste (S.C.) they need not pay the tution fees, just had to pay hostel and mess fees.
Campus Life
There are many clubs in our college. Some fascinating clubs are dance and dramatics (dnd) and film club. Members of film club screen a movie every week in the auditorium. We have several events and tournaments like Spring Spree, DJ Night, INTER- NIT Tournaments. We have a huge library of vast books. We even have kite competition during Sankranthi.
Hostel Facilities
Two persons are adjusted in one room. Two beds and Two study tables are provided. Registration of hostel is done through nitw website i.e. smile portal. The quality of mess is average but we have a special dinner once in a month. The food on that day is very delicious.
Admission
We know that this college is ranked as one of the top NIT's in NIRF Rankings. Some great personalities like Karthikeyan who is telugu film actor and Ramajogayya Sastry who is lyricist graduated from this college.
Faculty
Our Faculty members are good , friendly in nature. They immediately clarify our doubts in the class. There are some teachers who are excellence in explanation. Our faculty advisor helped us in many ways. One of them is for writing the minor,end sem exams we must fill the related form and download the registration slip. Due to some circumstances we could download them. Our sir filled all the forms and downloaded the slips.
Night Life
First Year students live in Ramappa Hall of Residence (1.8K). We have a gym in the hostel and cafeteria infront of hostel. They allow us at any time. Library closes by 8.30 PM but the room for studying for students opens 24/7. Campus timings are upto 6.00PM. The timings differ from branch.
