Course Curriculum Overview
Due to the scope of mechanical engineering from the very beginning, I choose this branch for my bright future. To be honest syllabus is quite old fashioned for all over India. In my opinion mechanical engineering is practical subject, if they have to improve any aspects they can add more practicals and less theoretical subjects. The timming for examination is perfect because it teaches you proper time management.
Internships Opportunities
For mechanical engineering department internships are provided by our college internship cell. Companies like TCR, ONGC and techfinix comes to our college with internship opportunities in our college. Some of this companies also offers stipend and some doesn't. For placements, internships and project plays a vital role for our bright future.
Placement Experience
After 6th semester students becomes eligible for placements. There are numerous companies that comes to our college for placements. Recently I got placement in godrej enterprises and I got package of 7.75 lacks per annum. Other than godrej there are many companies like worley, technimont , Reliance, Tata and many other companies. Last year for mechanical engineering department more than 80 students got placed, so percentage of placement is about 70-75 %. Last year highest placement offer is 9 lacks per annum and average package is 4 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for general category students is 1.2 lakhs per annum, but for obc and ews category it is 60k per annum where as for SC,ST category fees is in between 15-20k per annum. If you scored good marks in Mht Cet examination and your financials conditions are not so good or your family annual income is less than 8 lakhs per annum than you can apply for TFWS scheme , it is a scholarship scheme where your fees will become 15-20k per year, this scheme is only applicable for general, ews and obc category
Campus Life
The annual fest of our college is quite mesmerizing. Our fest name is abhiyaan and it is quite famous. It is typically held in the month of February and March. For technical fest they are held by technical clubs like robotics, racing clubs etc, this type of fest are held after every 2-3 months. If you are interested in sports, you can very easily apply for all kind of sports you liked. Social clubs and technical clubs are often runned by BE students, if you are interested in any clubs you can apply for positions from first year itself.
Admission
I choose this college especially for mechanical engineering, because it has really good placement for our branch. Another reason why I applied here is that it is near my house location. In Navi Mumbai locality Father agnels college is better than our college. If you didn't get admission in father agnels college than you can apply in our college for admission. For admission you can give jee and MHT cet exams. The eligibility criteria for MHT cet is 70 percentile for mechanical engineering, 80-85 percentile for information technology and 90-95 percentile for computer science.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:25 for each year. Faculty here is very well educated and most of the faculties here have got PHD degrees. I personally liked all the faculties here they have got all the necessary experience and knowledge of there respective subjects. For each semester our college has 2 unit tests and one semester exams. Difficulty level of exams are easy to moderate but you have to study hard for getting good grades. Many of the students failed here due to there lack of studies.
Night Life
There is no gym in our college. Regarding cafeteria it gets closed at 6:00 pm itself. Library also gets opened at 9:00 am and closed at 5:00 pm. Hostel Life is great for students. Famous places here are Cafe Bharati, it is a cafe in our college.
