The college management always tries to help students to do their best.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Sc course structure is quite relevant and useful to appear in much prestigious M.Sc entrance and it is adequate. Quite a research is driven & I think it's fair too. In future, it'll allow you to crack NET, SET etc.

Placement Experience

There are a good number of chances of getting hired in a multinational company if you are pursuing professional courses like BBA & BCA i.e placement is good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The expenses varies year to year according to University regulations. Still, approx the science stream fee structure lies between 3,000 - 5,000 per annum.

No, I didn't avail any scholarship though it's available for needy students.

The gender ratio is well balanced. There are almost 45 girls in per 100 students (girls:boys = 45:55). Extracurricular activities are exquisite.

Yes, they are quite helpful.

I got admission via form fill up at the official online portal of that particular college. Every year the admission date varies from mid of May to the end of June.

There were 3 organic, 2 inorganic, and 1 physical chemistry faculties present. They taught us well with utmost care & put some healthy Labour on us too. I am sincerely grateful for their kind efforts.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
