Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol is a co-educational institute, which is sponsored by the Government. Bidhan Chandra College is Approved by the University Grants Commission and is affiliated to the Kazi Nazrul University (KNU). It is Accredited with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The institution has a study centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University in their own campus for providing quality higher education to the students in distance mode.
