Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum is upto date to the engineering standards but you cannot solely depend on college syllabus to prepare for jobs, for jobs you have to self study and learn some skills by yourself, minor exams happen every month and then theory exams

Placement Experience

3

Very few high paying companies visit, mass recruiters take most of the students, average package is 7-8 LPA highest package 40 LPA, but college is full transparent with placement data - they include only on campus placements and not off-campus

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for B.Tech (ECE) at USICT, GGSIPU for the 2024-28 batch is given year-wise. In the first year, the total fee is 1,75,500, which increases to 1,87,500 in the second year, 2,02,900 in the third year, and 2,19,840 in the final year.

Campus Life

5

Overall, the GGSIPU campus life has been relatively good till now. Socially, it's been simple to get along with people because there are people from diverse backgrounds and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There are enough clubs and societies catering to every interest — tech, cultural, social work, you get the idea — and membership in some of them has helped one meet people and experiment with new things easily. The facilities are good as well; classrooms, labs, and common areas are clean and well kept, and the campus is well-proportioned with open areas and facilities both academic and non-academic. Overall, it's a well-balanced experience with sufficient going on to keep it interesting.

Admission

I selected GGSIPU because it's one of the renowned universities in Delhi with a good name, particularly for engineering. The campus, staff, and overall atmosphere looked better than many other places I had in mind. Also, being a government university, it provides quality education at a moderate fee, which was also a deciding factor. Geographically, it's accessible, and I thought that it would expose me well both academically and in terms of additional activities, so in general, it seemed like the way forward

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty are good except some few, course curriculum is also up to date but for jobs you have to do some self study you cannot depend on college only. Semester exams are not that much difficult and pass percentage is 40

Night Life

4

The nightlife near my college isn't too crazy because it's a government college, so there are timings and regulations. The campus gates close at around 8 PM and the hostel also has its own curfew timings, so late-night campus life is a bit limited. The gym, cafeterias, and library typically close by evening, so most of the hanging out occurs outside campus. Within campus, my favorite hangout is Nescafe, where students chill out, gossip, and just vibe after classes. Outside campus, my favorite hangout is the Chur chur Naan stall, which is quite popular among students for a quick snack. Dwarka has a good number of cafes and food stalls around where students hang out, particularly Vegas Mall, which is a hot spot for anything from food to movies. Safety-wise, the area is safe to walk around at night, but it's always good to stick together in a group if it's past curfew.

We have to understand and go for training as per the direction of our enhanced cell guidance. Top level companies are the ones that gets along and gives nearly 90% of the students.

Placement offers are not that good, like if you're pursuing other courses than btech so the placement is good but in btech, tech companies don't come that often, so you have to develop your skills during your academics and apply offline for job.

Currently what a job require and what we are being taught in the college, totally different. We have to study separately for preparing job because in our course curriculum, importance skills aren't taught and the frequency of exam throughout the year is too much. We don't get enough time for preparing jobs. We need less frequency of exams throughout the year so that we can prepare for a job.
