Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very monotonous and this could be changed for the better and as per my course BA English honors I'm not sure about the career opportunities myself so its a bit tricky while choosing the course. The teaching methods are ok but definitely could be improved like the things which arw taught are good but are they applicable in real life i dont think so.
Internships Opportunities
As i mentioned, several companies visit the college offering internships and companies like corizo, wipro etc they offer a plan including training and then a solo project followed by a group project and after which they would gibe a stipend of upto 20,000 something.
Placement Experience
Students from third or fourth semester become eligible for campus placements, some companies regularly visit such as corizo , wipro, learnx and online offers are also available, companies provide their training period and projects and the interested candidates do accept these offers but as for me i find it hard figuring out my plan since with english honors a limited options are there on the surface level so ita quite hard
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is semester based and not year wise,at the start of every semester which is six months you need to pay 24000 , this is for BA English Honors for other courses the fee is different depending on the course. Caution fees is 4500 which you will get after your graduation. Scholarships are available from the college community itself and you may receive gifts based on your performance.
Campus Life
This part is actually what makes this college so famous, this college is known for its social events and concerts, every year the biggest event called umang is held which is a three day event where on the third day a celebrity guest is invited who performs and apart from this the whole year something or the other is celebrated every festival every occasion is celebrated. In sports also every sport is and extracurricular activity takes place from basketball to weightlifting to ghazal everything and in between. Library also contains almost every book you need in every genre and the library offers seperate tables for privacy
Admission
I applied to a few very prestigious colleges like shri shikshayatan , st. Xaviers, lady brabourne and this particular college bhawanipur, even thoigh i had a good percentage of 84 percent yet the other colleges had students with more percentage amd seats got full quite early and bhawanipur has a lot of seats almost meber ending along with a decent cutoff like 50 percentage is enough therefore i chose this
Faculty
The faculty is good, the faculty to student ratio is also perfect there are more than one teachee taking up a single subject so its good and even though they are strict you can still approach them when needed. Exams are pretty convenient, tutorials are there which are to be submitted once a semester and then one class examination of ten marks and one internal examination of ten marks and finally the end semester exams thats it.
Night Life
The college has a sports arena which is where most of the time students hang out playing board games and other than that the cafeteria, it is nothing less than a cafe with varieties of food which makes the experience in college very enjoyable and interesting and the a big turf where students sit, play and hangout, usually everyone goes home after evening but during events or competition or concerts the college is housefull with joy and thrill.
