What Students Say
Likes
- The campus is quite aesthetically pleasing and has a lot of facilities that help the student grow in a lot of ways and doesn't let them feel bored.
- Everything is quite open and safe for the students here. There's strict policies against ragging and the people are quite friendly and not cocky.
- The number of fests and events held in all kinds of fields is just astonishing. There's like a billion opportunities for a student regardless of the thing they're good at.
Dislikes
- The number of leaves they give us is too short. A person living far from his home gets to go just 2 times a year to meet his family which is very very less and irritating to be honest.
- A few of the teachers are more interested in the student's personal lives instead of teaching their subject
- The attendance system is beyond shit. If you need medical claims, you need to run around for hours if not days to get it approved and a person with injury is as good as dead getting the claims done
Course Curriculum Overview
A lot of things in the curriculum are tough and irritating but none of them are irrelevant. Everything we are taught is related to our course and would help us in the future. There's a lot of extra subjects we're made to study that make us gain a lot of knowledge
Internships Opportunities
I'm not quite sure about it as I'm a first year, however, I have quite a few friends who told me the internship opportunities are not bad at all and just might be worth it. The number of internships is not bad too, on an average, 2 out of every three people get internship.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placements from 6th semester. The placements on an average range from 6PLA TO 8 LPA. Big companies like GOLDMAN SACHS and Deloitte and deshaw come for placements. Overall, it's a decent college in terms of placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The structure of the fees is not properly disclosed. All we're told is the actual fees we're supposed to pay. I have mixed feelings about it. The fees varies from course to course. As far as the scholarship is concerned, you can apply for it through a process started on the website of Christ University
Campus Life
The infrastructure is very very good and the dedication do the college to make it better makes the college even better in comparison to other colleges. The social groups here are quite open and Frank with everyone. Campus Life is quite nice as well, a lot of cafe's to go on, good food, a lot of beautiful places to go and chill. Overall, it's a quite good place to be if you're idle.
Hostel Facilities
The pgs are decent. But every student complains about the food and water being given there. Other than that, I don't think anyone else is happy with their pgs. All of them have some issue or the other.
Admission
Christ University ticks the most boxes with quite less number of cons compared to other universities. The holistic development a person gets from this university is impeccable. The number of extra curricular activities done is perfect. The campus is quite good.
Faculty
Most of the faculty is quite humble and fun to be with. They're good at teaching and make sure the concept gets through the student's head. There's this sir named sandeep sir whom we call sandy sir. He's the best teacher in terms of fun. He jokes around a lot along with teaching all the concepts and treats us like his friends which is quite nice. There's around 600 teachers in the campus.
Night Life
It is a hub of party clubs and cafe's and restaurants. The night life is as good as it gets. The number of students you'll find in a club on a Saturday night is huge and probably the highest compared to any college.
