PUSA is better than most!!

Mechanical engineering or even diploma in the same guarantees a job where most IT and tech jobs are taken away. Mechanical students are taught hard work as this is what our course teaches us too. Our curriculum is full and has many aspects of junior engineering and more importantly our labs and workshops are fully in accordance with real life scenarios.

L&T, Biocon and others form were given to us last month for a summer internship of 6 months. Stipend to 2nd year students are around 8-10k as in first year, we were paid just 5-6k. In final year it will be 15k and thats more than we could ask for.

Mechanical department seen nearly 90-95% placements last year and it is inching towards thag 100% mark. Mechanical engineers are in demand and will always be in demand in a country which is still developing. So, many companies not just who are into infra projects or refineries but also who serves the capital goods sector, hires students from our college and especially mechanical branch students.

The fees for our course which is Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is 8000. This is something which we have to pay every semester and so for a year it becomes 16000. It's a government owned university and therefore fees is less but it doesn't take away the fact that our facilities are top notch even in this less fees.

For sports we have na excellent volleyball court. The court is excellent and likewise an indoor table tennis court is there and also we have a students room as well. Fests and all we don't have much and not even such razzmatazz kind of events. However, top corporate giants are invited for skill building classes. Our workshops and have seen top people of top companies coming and explaining us the work.

DSEU is one of its kind and there is no shame that many such Universities should exist. This will only enhance and upgrade our education system where theoretical knowledge is given more importance. While our college imparts practical education and admissions are also in what we achieved in SSC.

Faculties are strict as students with less attendance is expelled right away. So, one don't just have to keep good terms on purpose with them but also have to attend their classes with full focus on. For students who does that has no issue whatsoever as they get good marks and are also appreciated by the faculties. Those who do otherwise gets proper scolding and in some cases even parents are also called upon.

There is not hostel and also the area that our college is, is indeed a forest area. So, PUSA wild forest is one such place for outing and if we are craving badly, Karol Bagh has enough places that one can just go and find all food items of his/her means.
