- Laboratories have up to date, modern machinery and active research work happens in the university

- First year hostel rooms could be bigger and can have better design
- Mess food menu could be better. The menu hardly changes every month and it is often the same items reshuffled when a new menu comes out.

Campus Life
The overall experience with campus life has been great. There are a total of 30 campuses in KIIT and hence there are a lot of things to do. Moving on to the club involvement, there are various societies one can join in KIIT such as music societies, tech societies, dance societies, drama societies and many more. Societies provide for a way to strengthen the bond between seniors and juniors and brings out the creativity within a student.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility, in general, is good, but the first-year hostel rooms could be better and bigger. The 3 bed, AC, premium boy's hostel rooms have one window AC, a single door wardrobe for each boarder, a table, chair and desk lamp for each boarder, a cabinet for each boarder, two tubelights, a ceiling fan, a bed for each boarder and an attached bathroom with a sink, commode and a shower.
Admission
I chose KIIT over other colleges that I had applied to because: 1. it offers a wide range of programs to choose from 2. it offers a holistic approach to the education that it provides 3. it is a ragging-free university 4. it has a green campus that has significantly less pollution The KIIT admission process includes taking the KIITEE exam after class 12 and securing a good percentile. Students are then asked to confirm their choice of course and program. They are then asked to pay the registration fee and finally are asked to report on campus.
Faculty
The faculty members of KIIT are great. They are very helpful and approachable. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:12. In a semester, there are two exams that are held, the mid-semester examinations and the end-semester examinations. The mid-semester examination usually covers half of the semester's syllabus and students are given 1.5 hours to solve the paper. Whereas, the end-semester examination covers the entire syllabus of the semester and the students are given 3 hours to solve the paper.
Night Life
As for first years are concerned, the students are not allowed to stay outside the hostel building after 7 pm. Therefore, first year students do not get to experience nightlife as much as the seniors are allowed.
