Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curiculum offers a well rounded and industry focused education covering core subjects like C,java,C++,python with modern technologies like Machine Learning,Cloud computing etc.The curiculum focuses on practical application with theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems. This approach helps students to get ready for industry level works. While the curiculum is good,I suggest there should be more focus on elective subjects such as cybersecurity, block chain etc rather than only the foundational knowledge.Semester exams are held at end of each semester with internal and pratical examination done beforehand. The exams are moderately difficult but theteaching methods and resource provided by faculties make it better to get good grades in exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

I enrolled fo the course of MCA(2024-2026) at KIIT.First at time of admission we need to pay ?75,000 though in return i got a Hp laptop from University. My semester fees is ?1,20,000 per semester and examination fees is ?1000 per semester. There is also regestration fees from 2nd semester that is ?1000 per semester. As i am day scholar student this is all I need to pay.Hostelites pay oher hostel charges along side these amount which include One time hostel admission fee(?15,000),one time laundry fee(?1500),mess fee(?20,000 to ?25,000 per semster),hostel fees(?20,000 to ?65,000 per semester varying on AC/non AC and single/double/triple sharing).

Campus Life

5

My overall experience with KIIT campus life has been incredibly engaging and vibrant. The enviroment here is multicultural as the student body is a mix of people all over India and more than 65 countries. Major annual festival held here is KIITFEST usually in the month of February for 3 days. It is a huge event with performances, competitions and celebrity guests for concert nights. KIIT has also a great network of student club and societies which plays a huge role for students personal and professional development, usually managed by KIIt Student Activity Centre(KSAC). The infrastructure here is simply top notch with air conditioned and modern classrooms, 24*7 wifi facilities throughout the campus and a well equipped modern central library that offers a vas collection of books and journals.

Admission

I chose KIIT because of its Strong reputation for on campus placements and active campus life with modern infrastructure.I had also applied for other colleges, though I did not face any rejection but ultimately I chose KIIT because of its reputation and numbers at national and international level. The admission process at KIIT is pretty straightforward. The primary exam accepted is KIIT Entrance Examination(KIITEE) whic is even majorly preferred by students. The university also considerate scores from other national level entrance exams. The cutoffs and eligibility criteria varies from course to course.

Faculty

4

The faculties here are well behaved, educated and supportive. In my course there 450-500 students and there are 40-50 faculty.Mostly the faculties are quite good and approachable,If you are willing to study they would even help you after study hours.Mostly I like every teacher I studied under at KSCA(KIIT school of computer application).Apart from that the exams are conducted every semester which are moderately difficult.More than 95% students student pass in the exams .Those who fail they can give supplementary exam .

Night Life

4

The nightlife around the KIIT campus is vibrant but confined to campus itself. After classes students typically hangout at various food courts and cafeterias or latenight study sessions in the library. The University's gym, cafeterias, library and common areas are generally closed by 9:00PM which is also the in-timings for hostel. Though the in-timings varies for Bachelor's and Masters students. The rues are strictly enforced for safety at night. There are some popular late night hangout food stalls just outside the campus, students mostly socialize within the safe regulated eniviroment.

From the 4th semester, you are also eligible for campus placement. Companies like Infosys, HCL, TATA and many others and some international companies also visited every year. The average package they give is between 8-14 lakh per year. In the previous year 2020, 98% of students get various companies.
