Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was interested in Mechanics so i chose mechanical as a course in btech. where all the students are moving towards computer science and AI. mechanical is left behind. in mechanical every thing can be applied in real world, we can find its application everywhere but whereas in other subjects as AI and CSE we dont find much real-world applications. Mechanics run everywhere. The curriculum is very easy to follow not pressurized. its simple we get holidays on every saturday from 2nd year but in my case i got every saturday holiday from 1st year 2nd semester itself. its very easy to follow schedule. we can also give time to other items by which we can learn more skills and get more developed.Teaching methods are very good but it could be better if they upgrade to newer teaching methods. the frequency of exams is ok we get time to study we get time for preparation. we dont feel exhausted.

Placement Experience

5

from 4th semester students become eligible for the campus placement. there are many companies which visit for campus recruitment. like oracle mathworks TCS wipro infosys accenture L&T amazon cognizant google deloitte mediatek acs solutions TCS Digital these are top recruiters of JNTUH students do internships in companies like reddylabs vishakasteel plant ITC etc most of these internships are off campus intership percentage is around 90%. JNTUH has a strong placement record. average package is 7LPA. students get highest placements from branches like CSE and ECE students if not selected in oncampus they can easily get jobs in offcampus interviews students from JNTUH are not rejected but also it depends on their skills

Fees and Financial Aid

my rank was 11730 in EAPCET. as i belong to BC-E category. i got the full fee reiumbursement in which i do not have to pay any tuition fee. all in was paid is admssion fee which was 5500/- then later semester exam which was Rs800/-. Normally the semester fee is 50,000.

Campus Life

5

there is only one fest that is technical fest which will be celebrated annually. there are 2 libraries one is college library and other is university library there are wide range of books and journals available 24/7. students can any time get into library in time provided and can get any book. there are many student run social groups like ABVP and many there are many clubs like literary club, singing club, dancing club, hackathons , coding club, cineclub, sports club and many other clubs they are very impact full on students life. student can bring out their qualities into the realworld by there clubs.

Admission

I also applied in other colleges like Anurag university, VNR, CBIT, MGIT. At first i got seat in AI in Anurag University but i wanted to get core cse so had reappeared for the couselling then i got core cse in anurag university. later after confirming my seat i thought that whole youth is moving towards CSE and AI. I didnt get any rejection from any college from where i applied . In JNTUH they accept only EAPCET exam. TG EAPCET exam is conducted by JNTUH itself. Cutoffs go higher here in JNTUH, students who belong to general category should get atleast below 12K rank to get into college. cutoffs vary with castes. For SC/ST it would go upto 40-50K rank. OC students who get below 10k rank get full fee reiumbersement. and then fee reiumbersement vary with castes again. for sc/st its full fee reiumbersement irrespective of their rank. admission process is very easy. just they will give a list of certificates which u need to bring and submit.

Faculty

faculty to student ratio is good. the faculty to student relation is good but there are is some faculty whose relationship is not good with the students. they are rude. They are easily approachable many will also provide their whatsapp numbers so the students could reachout to them whenever they have a doubt. There are many faculty member whom i like because of their kindheartedness and a good approach towards students. There are generally 2 mid exams and 1 semester exam. Mid exams are only for theory subjects and for practical i.e., for lab exam we will have one internal exam which will be decided by the faculty whenever they feel to conduct. but it will be only after all the practicals have completed. we have a particular criteria to get promoted i.e., we need to get atleast 14 marks out of 40 when avg is calculated of both mid exams. and in total mids+semester we need to get 40 out of 100 to get passed. which is quiet easy to acquire. students need to be well prepared for their exams.

Night Life

5

There is an indoor gym which is very very good. its one of the best place of JNTUH. we have all equipments. there are 2 cafeterias and many public areas like mostly students prefer to spend time in canteens. there are 2 canteens inner canteen and open canteen. hostel curfew time is 8pm and campus time is 9 30 to 4:45 its varies to branch to branch and section to section. every place in JNTUH is perfectly safe to roam but not outside. as it is locatied in the prime location there is much traffic.

Other Applied Colleges

Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

It has large size classes and more students which make professors difficult to give attention to students

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
