Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason of Selecting, the course B.A prog because I want to clear the civil services exam. The subject provided for studying under this course will help me for the preparation of my exams. This course contains Political Science, History, English, Geography, Economics etc. These all the subjects are most important not only for the preparation of civil services exam but also helpful in giving other states and central government exams. Their must be some improvement in the course curriculum such as some new topics must be added in the syllabus according to their importance in the UPSC, State PCS, CDS exams etc. The Practice learning should be give more importance instead of theoretical.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee of my college is affordable for all the courses. The yearly fees of Zakir Husain Delhi College is lesser than the other colleges of Delhi University. I am pursuing in B.A Prog, my yearly fees including everything is upto 7000 only. The fees for other course also reasonable. The scholarship and full fees concession also available to the economical weaker section students for their studies. In the end , almost all the students can easily afford the courses fees as it is very reasonable.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest of my college is zeenat. It is the biggest fest of the college in which celebrities are invited and every student is excited for this annual fest. There are many society in my college such as Ambedkar society, Panchtatva: The environmental society, Netisaar: the civil services society, Aagaz: The debating society and The art and cultural society etc. All the societies are very active in the college campus and arrange their fests , visits, saminors during the year. The liberty of my college is most peaceful and calm place in the college campus. The area of liberty is very large and a wide range of books , novels, biographies and newspaper in different languages available in the library. The Book Sections are divided according to the departments such as Political Science, History, Mathematics, Environmental science, Hindi, Urdu, Persion, English, Botany, etc. The classrooms are large with comfortable desks for students projector and smart bords all provided in most of the classrooms . Cricket and volleyball is major sports offered on campus. Students like to play badminton, kabaddi and chess in the college.

Admission

The Exam excepted by my college is CUET (Common University Entrance Test) . This exam is compulsory for everyone for getting admission in the Delhi University. Only after giving this exam you can get admission and then after the result you have to fill a separate form CSAS for the selection of course and colleges according to your marks in CUET for admission under delhi university. I also attempt this exam and scored good marks. My name came in the first list and I was over the moon after checking my name in first list but unfortunately, I was failed to complete the procedure of admission due to the failure of fees payment on the last date. I was extremely sad after this but Fortunately after 1 month later my portal again opened and I got one more chance to take admission through spot round and got admission in Zakir Husain Delhi College. I want to take admission in Miranda House of delhi university but due to my fault. I missed the chance. The best part is that after all this, I finally got admission in Delhi University no matter in which college because the college in which, I am currently studying is also good.

Faculty

4

The faculties members of my college are very supportive and helpful. All most all the teacher of my department are cooperative and they have very calm nature. They listen the problem of the students and trying to help them. The relation between the students and teachers was respectable. All the students of my batch respected their teachers a lot. As, they guided students with a genuine concern and give their best to provide best quality education to their students . I, Personally like my Political Science department teacher Dr. Shubhra Pant Kothari. She is a great teacher and give her all the lectures best and try to explain everything clearly to her students. So, that they don't face any problem while clearing their concepts as well as Dr. Samita sundaram is also an amazing teacher. She is loved by almost every students because of her calm nature . I don't dislike any faculty members because all trying to give their best according to them and work hard . So, I respected and like all the teacher who taught me . In a year students have to give their examination twice ( mid-sem, end semester exam). Semester exams are not hard to crack. If a students study before 1 month of exams with concentration then he/ she can crack their exam easily. The student who want to score Higher than he must study constantly for the best results. I am pursuing B.A Program in this course students rarely faced failure because of their own fault.

Night Life

3

The experience of the nights in the college life is unique and wonderful. I am the student of evening college my classes began after 4 pm in the evening attending classes in the evening is an unique experience. We enjoy our college life and my favourite place of the college is canteen area where me and my friend usually enjoy and spend our leasure time there. Liberary is a great place which offers a great time for reading books with a pin drop silence. After attending the class we came out some time with our bored faces whenever the lacture is very lengthy and boring. After that we all liked to go for having the tea behind our college. Where we have our tea and relax for some time. Which help us to fresh our mind. The area around my college is not safe at late night for girls because the college is situated near the railway station. It is not students area , hostel facilities are also not provided students have to live 10-15 km away from the college. Students have to travel a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My father chose Law for me and he was influenced from the general mass that was opting law at that time. The curriculum of law is arbitrary, it is very far from how courts work and operate, the real life experince is hardly taught and the real courts and law can only be understood through internships and practice. There should be real practicing lawyer teaching the working of courts at least once a week or twice a month to prepare the students for what they are going to face in courts and companies. The exams were Moderate in difficulty.

At IIMT School of Law placements are better than many law colleges. Last year only around 60-65% students were placed and even though salary offered was quite less but atleast getting direct jobs itself is a huge achievement when number of law students and law colleges are increasing by the day.

At VIPS law placements are quite sorted as in Delhi most chambers have made it a point that their first preference will always be students who have studied in Delhi. This gives VIPs a very big advantage as in private colleges ours is the best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive in my opinion as it offers me the openness to experience for the course I am currently pursuing. The course offers seven subjects. The subjects changes by semester system. Each semester offers different subjects, therefore, the scope of boredom will not arise. moreover, it will provide knowledge on every topic in depth. I do not found any disadvantage of this course.
