Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is terrible for first year you gotta study nonsense like chemistry physics and electrical engineering even if you aren't from that course. But from second year I've heard they teach a lot of stuff that's usefull like DSA and coding languages like c++ etc. so I'd say it's good.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like google and microsoft appear for internships here in vit with stipends ranging from 8000 to 90000. If u have a nice cgpa and decent skills it's a piece of cake to bag internships. Overall I'd say it's better than most of the tier 2 colleges in india

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible from 3rd year for placements Big companies like Microsoft Google Amazon have taken students from our college The maximum package was 1cr and average stood at 9 lakhs Almost 50 percent get placed in dream and super dream companies with placements over 5 lpa Rest are taken by mass recruiters

Fees and Financial Aid

VIT Vellore Fee Structure 2025: The fee structure at VIT Vellore varies depending on the course and specialization chosen. B.Tech: INR 1,73,000 and INR 1,95,000 per annum for Group A and Group B, respectively. Group A mostly contains b tech courses and group b contains bsc courses There are 5 categories of fees per year given according to your rank in viteee Category 1: Group A 198000 Group B 176000 Category 2: Group A 307000 Group B 235000 Category 3: Group A 405000 Group B 343000 Category 4: Group A 448000 Group B 368000 Category 5: Group A 493000 Group B 398000 There is 100 percent scholarsip for ranks under 100 in viteee no reservations of any kind

Campus Life

4

Campus life is okayish. Freedom is a bit compromised. Books and journals are available in abundance in the library and e gateway. There are two fests cultural fest Rivera and tech fest gravitas. Heck lot of clubs for coding dance drama and other stuff. Excellent sports facilities but you gotta pay extra

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels provided range from single bed to 8 bed rooms. There are ac and non ac rooms available. The mess is of 3 types. Veg mess non veg mess and special mess. The food is pretty good and there are some shops inside them to buy chips and stuff. Hostel registration opens a few days after your seat is confirmed and is of pretty reasonable cost I'd say

Admission

This college has a big Student intake like i already stated the other colleges i got confirmed admission were LPU, SRM and NIIT but vit beats all of them in every single aspect. I applied for Manipal i would've got admission there if it wasn't for the board marks. The only way to take admission is through VITEEE exam and you get admission and fee category based on your rank

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is well a bit high 1:70 approximately. The quality of faculty is pretty good though. If u listen to class exams aren't that hard but loose consistency it becomes a headache but still manageable. Too many quizzes we have 3 main exams cat 1 cat 2 and fat having 15 15 and 40 marks of weightage the reast is alloted to quiZ and digital assignment

Night Life

2

The nightlife is non existent as u have a curfew at 9 pm in the hostel unless you are in some clubs for night slip. Some good areas for hanging out are foodys where most of the people come to socialize and there are many restaurants cafes and gaming parlours outside of vit as well

Placement Experience:

For campus placements students of the 4th year or 7th semester are the eligible ones. Multiple companies like zoho, apple,TCS,CTS, accenture etc have come and multiple small companies too. But the intake for the big and reknown MNCs were low from abt 2-3 candidates only.the placement here is 100% but the companies may vary.My future goal is to go for a government official stream after I finish my masters abroad.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year itself a student become eligible for campus placements and some of seniors got ino flipkart like companies. So the college is good at placement. In any colleges, due to college the student can't only be placed, their skills, talents, communication is more important to get placed so based their knowledge the students get placed. only thing college need to do is getting good companies with package and our college also provide it.
