Likes
- The college has a very big 67 acres Land and faculties are supportive.
- Very good sports facilities, inter department and other events do take place.
Dislikes
- Language learning is required but teaching of language was not available during my stay.
- Core branches have less placement opportunities as compared to IT.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching methodology has evolved from the time I have spent. Now the college has digital teaching methodology with conventional touch. The student technical trips are organised very frequently for better exposure.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides various internship which are aligned with the companies and the students may be converted as employees in the same companies. During the final year of their course replacement and internship of some of my bachelors where one and ISRO and two of them did in hand project one of them did the project in L&T.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college startes from the 7th semester during 2015 and we had placement traininh sessions from professional and people who worked in the companies. The sessions were very enlightening and helped us prepare ourselves for placement. 90% of my batchmates got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid 1,10,000/year for 4 Years. For the 1st year 50000 was paid to COMEDK, which is the admission and entrance exam conduction organization. Apart for tution fees exam fees of 2000 / year was also charged
Campus Life
There are a lot of clubs for technical and cultural events in PES College of Engineering, Mandya. Sports to cultural all are there some of them as I remember IEEE, Is still there and students are involved like anything. The sports complex is very nice and well maintained.
Hostel Facilities
Single, Double and Triple sharing rooms are available for the students. The meal is good but cannot be compared with home made food. Both the veg and non veg options are available for the hostel students. PG options are also available in the vicinity to the college.The nearby locality also has the room availability for students.
Admission
PES college of Engineering is very old college and earlier was a part of PES trust. The reputation of the college is still there. Comparing with colleges of bangalore the Laboratory facilities and technical support guidance was very well developed for all the branches.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1: 10 and regular mentorship programs and faculty guidance for subject project and other academic is available. Faculties are very approachable to students and they help in all possible ways.
Night Life
The college has student gym, swimming pool, cricket stadium with a regular coach available for all of them. Late night activities are not available. Hostel for boys and girls are separate. Boys hostel is inside the campus while the girls hostel is just at the main gate of the college.
