SUITABLE REVIEW OF MY COLLEGE

. As I am doing B.com course and along with that I am doing CMA course . So the B.com course in the curriculum is helping me to cope up with my CMA course as well . . The curriculum prepares us well for the real life situations as the course mentioned above provides the deep insights in the real word situations through the case study questions and various workshops. . The area which need improvment in teaching method is the need of more practical teaching rather than theoritical teaching . .the frequency of our semester exams is six months . And the difficulty level of the exams depend upon the students' mind and his /her intelligence .

Students of final year are eligible for placement programs in various courses . My plan is to get admission in same college for masters . Companies which come are deloitte, tata,mahindra group and sons .

In first year i paid 25000 . The fees for my college is very affordable according to my course. And then in the second year i paid 24000 as fees . My college provide different types of scholarship schemes and i got the benefit from one of the scholarship scheme . Also this college does not charge caution fees , development fee etc. And about the scholarship scheme , I applied for the central scheme for college or university student . Under this scheme i got the fee amounting 12000 one time and 11000 in other semester in my bank account . It helped alot .

The name of the annual festivals which are conducted by the college are tech fest , bizztech fest . The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library is vast as numerous books are available and they varied according to the various different courses. The facility of smart board is provided within the classroom. There are various clubs available as NCC ,NSS, swimming club and eco club . Students enjoy and cherush their time enjoying in their respective clubs and develop their personal and proffesional skills.

During counselling process first i applied for SD college . But i did not got the admission there .This college was on the second number of my priority list and i got fianl admission here . I was very happy to get my admission done here . As many students from different states wish to get admission here as this college is popular and known among the students . Students from ladakh , uttrakhand , himachal pradesh , punjab ,haryana etc. Yes i was rejected from SD college as i did have maths in high school . The admission process for all the colleges in chandigarh including this college is conducted by the Department of Higher Education ,Chandigarh on the basis of merit .

The faculty members are very helpful and friendly . As i am pursuing B.com the commerce department's faculty members are very approachable . Personally i liked ms Tanuja talwar and ms.monica diwan. The name of the faculty which i dont like is mr. Dev raj jatt because he is very serious personality . There are mid semester's exam and then final exams . The students who fail there final exams are generally less around 9 . The all over result is above average and quite satisfactory.

The timing for the cafeterias and library are from 9 am to 4 pm . The timing for hostels and campus is from 9 am to 7pm. The famous hangout places inside the college are area around swimming pool , nescafe cafeteria and playground . And outside the college the students can hangout in punjab university. And these places are safe to hang out even in the night .
