Course Curriculum Overview

3

I just choose B tech cause I love technology.. But I couldn't score in JEE . Maybe I was too lazy .. So when you are going to take admission in b tech CSE , the tuition fees for CSE without specifications and with specifications are same .. so I chosed AIML ... The semesters will be for 5 months with the exams .. For MSEs you will get 2 exams in a day .. exam duration will be 1hour 15mint.. And for Sem end there will be 3hour

Placement Experience

2

From last semester only you will get placement chance.. but if you had one backlog then you are not eligible. As per them highest package is 45lakh.. I don't know it's true or not.. Average is 3 to 4 lakh.. Not more than 70% is placed.. they will say 110% though..

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearwise including tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees etc 4.29L(Manegement Quota) 3.50L(JEE Score/DSU entrance score) 1.50L(KCET score/Karnataka Only) Yearly increasing of Management quota fees is 50000 Hostel fees Boys: 4 seater-109000 3 seater - 123000 Girls : 2,3,4 seater available Mess fees: 84000 Year wise it increases... The thing is fees is too high for manegement quota and very low for Karnataka students only that is come through KCET exam....

Campus Life

1

Infrastructure is good as I said before... There is nothing like extracurricular activities.. sometimes they organise Hackathon though.. There are many clubs like Robotics , Photography, Videography etc .. but you have pay extra 1k or 2k to join .. Campus life is too boring specially when you are not from south side .. They just don't wanna talk in other languages than kannada.. So you are going to feel a barrier...

Hostel Facilities

1

You will get a bed .. attached bathroom and washroom.. rooms are small .. Meal quality is too bad when you are from North.. they just put coconut everywhere.. like in gravy also.. You can rent pg.. they are nearby..

Admission

I haven't applied for any other colleges.. I just want to take admission in Bangalore.. but I couldn't score in JEE so I have to take in private colleges. I actually tried for DSCE , but fees structure for that was much more than DSU .. that why I chosed DSU.. as they are same institutions..

Faculty

2

Some faculties are good and friendly while in the are hands some are like lucifer itself!!! For the first sem the maths teacher was really good.. Some of the faculties just use kannada in classroom.. if you are from outside you can't able to understand anything.. The exam schemes are like , you will have to give MSE1 MSE2 and Sem end exam.. exam level are moderate.. passing is 40% score in each exam ... MSEs are for 40 marks , those will reduce to 20 and Sem exam is for 100 marks that will reduce to 40 .. for some subjects will will get lab, internals also...

Night Life

1

There are gym in hostels. Both in boys and girls.. not much good but pretty much better.. There are may cafeterias , but as I said too costly Library is in College building.. which is 1KM away from hostel !! Hostel is gonna closed at 10PM for boys and 9:30Pm for girls .. too bad ..and everytime you wanna go outside the campus, you have call your parents and have to take permission then the gate pass (most irritating part).. there is not a single place outside the campus where you can visit ..

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
