Dislikes
- The rules in VIT are taken very strictly like 75% attendance rule
- Going for outings or leaves is one of the difficult task. Because for going outing we have to take approval from our proctors and after their approval only we can go
- The crowd in VIT is too much every year their intake is increasing
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose electronics and Computer Engineering because I have interest in both coding and electronics. The curriculum of my course includes all the core subjects of Computer science and Electronics. So it prepares me for real world applications or further academic studies. The curriculum must be updated regularly as per the industrial needs. The curriculum sometimes need changes.
Placement Experience
For college placement, the students are eligible from 7th semester. The students who are not having any backlogs and having 6+ cgpa are eligible. The companies like Microsoft, Motorq, texas Instrument, intel, qualcomm etc visit for placements. Last year the highest package was 1cr and average was around 1100000pa. Mostly students get placed in some companies, my plan is also to get decent placement from the college

The college life in VIT is vibrant and good. In VIT we have two fests one is technical and other one is cultural fest. The technical fest TECHNOVIT is organised on a very good level many technical events are organised like hackathons, robotics etc, students from other colleges also participates. The library is also well maintained and having international national journals, and a vast collection of books. The sports facilities are also provided to students and many sports events are organised regularly in the college for various sports. Their are 150+ clubs in VIT including Technical, non-technical and cultural clubs which are very much active and organises events like Hackathons, open mic etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are much better in VIT . There are my types of rooms provided to students like 2 bed AC, 2 bed Non AC, 3bed Ac, 3bed Non AC and like this upto 6bed. The rooms are well furnished and maintained. Their are three options for mess also Veg, Non veg and special. The quality of the food provided in the mess is not that much good. The registration for first year is done before coming to college. From second year the registration is done on the basis of the ranks provided to students according to their CGPA.
Admission
I have applied to many colleges and in SRM Ktr i got CSE but i didn't go there because VIT is having much better placements than SRM. In some colleges I got rejection also ????. Fir admission in VIT we have to give VITEEE exam and if a student is well prepared for jee mains then he can can easily get good rank in VITEEE. The level is moderate to hard. The cutoff for computer science for category 1 is under rank 500. The cutoff for electronic and computer engineering for category 1 is around 19000 and for category 2 is under 32000.
Faculty
The faculties in VIT are highly qualified, mostly phd holders. Their teaching style is also very good with practical examples. Some faculties are exceptions which are very strict. Faculties are having a very good knowledge about their domain. They have connections with the industries also and teach accordingly. In VIT we have 2 continuous assessment tests and one final assessment test ie FAT. The weightage of CATs is 15% each and FAT is having weightage of 40% and internal assessment having weightage of 30%. The level of exams is moderate to hard. The curriculum as my branch Electronics and Computer Engineering is much more relevant because they teach almost all the core subjects of cs and electronics.
Night Life
The cafeterias are well good in the campus with reasonable prices. The library is also well maintained and very much good for book lovers. The hostel timings are quite not good because the in time in evening for boys is 9pm and for girls is 7pm which is very much early according to students. The famous hangout places in campus are North Square, Gymkhana, Gazebo where students can spend a goot time and enjoy.
