Course Curriculum Overview

4

About the curriculum, it's pretty much okay okay I would say because this is something similar to all colleges. But they are trying to give training for placements and all stuff. I love it. And subject wise also, it's helpful. Overall an 8/10

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companys offer Top recruiters for BTech students include leading IT firms such as Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini. Core engineering companies like Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, L&T, ABB, Honeywell, and Tata Motors also hire graduates from DSU.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm from KCET batch, so we had to pay approx 1.08 lakh per year and also we have to pay extra of 40k for all exams and such fees additionally. Its same for all depending on caste I think. And we'll, for management and comedk it's different and I'm not aware of it.

Campus Life

4

Faculty is good, classrooms are vast, students in my batch are good, idk about other batches yet. A lot of extra curricular activities, I'm unaware of sports. There are different clubs I can join to. Library is awesome, access is nice, can get lots of books. A lots of fests happen here too.

Admission

I applied to all top colleges, thought I wouldnt get, so I didn't consider it much. As though it's pretty campus, experienced faculty. In engineering, it's good. Happy choosing this. And it's through kcet . So this college offered me cse course.

Faculty

5

Faculty were damn good for my 1st sem, it just ended. And I love their teaching style, even if one person is absent, they give alternatives immediately. Its pretty impressive. The ppts, sources they provide are good.

Interview Experience

4

No, the process of admission included writing KCET EXAM, idk if there were any exams from the side of college. The portions of kcet was declared by kea board and it included 12th ka syllabus too. Kea decided this college

Night Life

3

There are less hangout spots nearby college in general, I don't think we are allowed to go inside college at nights. Never went too. Its nearby highway, which is a disadvantage. Librarys stays till certain time , and then they close. You can only stay in librarys and not any classrooms after class hours.

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Placement Experience:

We enter the placement at the end of 3rd year almost at 4th year(6th to 7th semester). The placement cell organizes various traning program, including mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skills workshops. Past 3 to 4 years more than 10 companies per year offered hiring 100+ students. But over the year the companies have come down and providing les opportunities. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, etc recruite students from this college. The highest package is 25LPA and the average package is around 6LPA. Due to the increase in the rate of admission, the percentage has been decresed. Almost 25 out of 100 students are getting placed in this college. After getting degree, I will try my level best to get placed in campus itself. If not, I am interested more in Competitive exams, I will focus on it.

From the7th sem onwards campus placements are put in place for btech students. Many companies such as microsoft, google, BMW, mercedes, accenture and others look for students here. The top 100 of each branch get the highest packages with the average of that being 22lpa for the cce branch. The rest of the students that are placed have an average salary of 14 lpa. Almost all the students are placed with the placement rate being around 90% for my branch. I plan on working for 2 years after getting placed and then pursuing an MBa degree abroad to further my tenure as a valuable asset to whatever company takes me under their wing.
