- The professors were highly knowledgeable and approachable, with many professors holding PhDs from reputed instutions.
- Teaching methods were a mix of traditional lectures and interactive sessions, which helped in better understanding of the concepts
- Mentorship classes were held. Seniors and faculties guided us on academic and career-related matters.
Dislikes
- There was not enough felxibility in scheduling classes. the timetable is packed and life is stressful
- Ece is the strictest department in the whole campus. All the labs are evaluation labs and even if you miss one lab there are more chances that you get a F and repeat the whole lab again
- Uniform is manditory on working days. Can wear color dress on saturdays that too only if you dont have a lab
Course Curriculum Overview
The course cirriculum is well designed, covering a broad spectrum of theoritical and practical knowledge. The syllabus is updated every 4 years. The exams are conducted at regular intervals. Exams are usually easy to score if you study the whole syllabus. The syllabus is moderately difficult. Usually the labs are very difficult.
Internships Opportunities
My college offers various internship oppertuinities in collaboration with reputed companies across multiple sectors. These internships help students gain hands on experience and valuable exposure to the professional world, fostering both technical and soft skills development.
Placement Experience
Our college offers campus placements. For ECE i heard that the placements are pretty decent and most of the students got placed. The average package is about 8-10 lakhs. The highest package this year (24-25) so far is 29LPA and still the placements are going on.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am from Non scholarship category and my tuition fee is 400000. There are 3 schlorship categories and the fees vary according to which slab you belong to. Slab 1 - 125000, Slab 2 - 250000, Slab 3 - 300000, and sleb 4/ non schlorship : 400000.
Campus Life
The campus life is vibrant and engaging with a variety of social, cultural and technical events. One of the highlights is Anokha which is a technical fest. It also includes dance, concerts, games etc. The library is well stocked with a diverse range of books, journals and resourses.
Hostel Facilities
In first year mostly you'll get four sharing room. But luckily we got double sharing room. The rooms are not that good. It is pretty decent. Double sharing rooms will have one fan (remote control), two beds, two tables, two chairs and two cupboards. You will also have an unlimited wifi seperate for every room.
Admission
I applied for VIT and SRM. I got accepted in SRM main campus for ECE. I got CSE in VIT bhopal. Compared to those colleges, i feel ECE in Amrita Coimbatore is better. To join Amrita you either have to write AEEE or JEE.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is farily balanced. There is a good interaction between students and professors. Most faculties are approachable and willing to help. The course structure is well organized, covering both theoritical and practical aspects. Exams are conducted periodically, with mid semester and end semester assessments.
Night Life
Cafes and canteens will usually close befor 8 PM. Library will also be closed at 8PM. 1st year girls hostel in timing is 8:30 PM and for boys it is 9:30 PM. We have night canteens inside our hostel till 10:30 PM.
