LIFE AT IIIT DHARWAD

The course is related to mathematics and computer science engineering making it enjoyable. Since start I love mathematics, the complex calculations. The course is very relevant to real world application. For now it doesnt need any improvement.

Recently InfoKalash in Hubli, Karnataka offered internship opportunity to 3rd year students with so many roles like Content Designing, UI/UX, Artificial Intelligence etc. They asked for projects and portfolio.

As I'm still in 1st year, I don't have much information regarding placement. All I heard from seniors and other faculty is that the placement rate is good as compared to other private colleges. Nvidia, TCS, InfoSys, Oracle, Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. College doesn't have any problem with students sitting for placement. It depends on the companies criteria. For example Nvidia set 7.5 CPI minimum.

There is no relaxation of fees based on rank or category. The institute fees for first and second semester is 167400 each and hostel fees is 45000 each semester. The institute fees is same for every semester but the hostel fees for second, third and fourth year will be 48000, 50000, 52000 respectively.

There is a big cultural fest that is help in February known as Sangeet. Students from other colleges also come for this fest. There are so many cultural club for music, dance, photography, art etc. giving so many opportunities to explore for students. We have technical clubs too. There is an event known as Rush 4.0 the biggest technical gaming fest of our college with games like BGMI, Free Fire, Valorant, CS2.

Per room has 4 students, almirah for each student, fans and power outlet for basic needs. The mess food is not good at all, only breakfast and evening snacks are somewhat tasty. According to the price of mess the food is not good. The hostel is located inside the campus.

As a JEE Aspirant, I also saw dreams of IIT and not of IIIT. Yes, my preparation went wrong due to some reason and couldn't get into any college other than state government college. At start of my engineering I used to regret my decision but now not at all....

Most of the faculties are friendly with students but there are always some exception. Sometimes it feels like professor is speaking chinese and when we question them they will be offended on the other hand some professors will explain each and every topic twice and they dont go ahead until everyone days yes. For exams some professor may take 50 marks some might take for 80 and maybe 100 too. Course curriculum is relevant to our branch and one or two might not pass the exam.

There is no restriction for hostel in time but for campus it is 9:30 for both boys and girls. Common canteen is opened till 2:00 AM and milk parlour generally runs for 24/7. There is a pond in our college and its perfect place for spending time with your friends or alone.
