Course Curriculum Overview

4

Since the course is MBBS, it is certainly the most real life application knowledge. The new curriculum includes Family Adoption Programme inorder to encourage students to communicate with the patients with kindness and mannerism in a professional way.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship you are gonna get is not from any company, instead you will be working at the same college as a resident doctor for a year. Since the hospital has a very good patient flow, we would be able to come out as a good physician.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee : 18k [AIQ students] Hostel fee : 83k [total annual payment] Both fees are free for State 6% students Fees for record notebook : 3k Every scholarship available in a government college is available here for those deserving.

Campus Life

4

The saddest part of all is that this college offer absolutely "NO annual or Technical festivals". We will really envy the people of other colleges for this one. There is a vast book collection in the university library. We can even go there to study peacefully till night. The classroom is pretty old but still works really good. There is AC in every lecture halls but they definitely won't turn it on. There are football team, cricket team, volleyball team, basketball team, table tennis team etc.

Hostel Facilities

2

Room is okayish Food is bad. Just really bad. Hostel at first glance won't seem affordable but it is affordable, since we are giving all the annual fees at a single go. Only pro of the hostel is that it offers unwavering freedom to the students, but it can be got even if u got a flat outside the campus.

Admission

Since i got this college on MCC allotment. Ie: i didn't specifically applied for this college. I did apply for every possible government medical colleges in tamil nadu. As my NEET rank/mark cutoff got me into this college. The admission procedure of this college when compared to other colleges were really good. Staffs were really cooperative, even if we lack documents that aren't really mandatory and gave enough time to submit those to them. Before getting admission download the brochure from the college website inorder to get to know what documents u have to bring

Faculty

3

Even though every department have experienced faculties. But the biochemistry department here lack professors and associate proffesors, instead the students are being taught by the post graduates of the respective subject. The anatomy and the biochemistry department is very Cooperative to the students in every manner. But the physiology department is the worst. Still insisting on the dressing as it is in the 90s and rules like girls and boys shouldn't at any cost mingle with eachother.None of the physiology faculties won't listen to any of the suggestions given by the students. Really a hippocrite mentality is seen. Exams are really easy when compared to other colleges. Since boys have every possible freedom. Its really hard to make the mindset to sit and study properly. Almost 70% of the students usually passes the exams [internal assessments].

Night Life

3

There is hostel gym nearby. Which cost only ?200 annually[which is often given only once]. But the gym only offer minimal equiments since it was made by alumni batch of the college. The class time starts from 8am to 4pm The boys hostel offer the most freedom (the best in TamilNadu), but i won't say the facilities here is best, instead its just adjustable, just what we expect from a government college. The area is NOT SAFE to hangout alone in night. There have been many distasteful incidents. So everyone is strictly instructed never to travel alone in night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is relevant to the course . Dissection halls help you to understand the anatomy of body. Physiology help to understand the basic metabolism in the body. Pathology and microbiology help to understand the pathophysiology of diseases. Medicine, surgery, obgy, etc are in the final year. Overall every department plays role in diagnosing, treating and preventing the diseases.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
