- Faculty here are very knowledgeable and supportive
- here there is wide oppurtunity to explore things , people can join any club according to their intrests
- NIT warangal has got strong history of placements , for instant median package of a computer science student is about 30 LPA
Dislikes
- Very poor infrastructure , asia's biggest hostel 1.8k which is nit warangal don't have have proper bathroom facilities
- Talking about gender ratio , here the gender RATIO Is like 1:4 (girls:boys)
- poor sports facilities , and there are no proper trainer
Course Curriculum Overview
Aspects Influenced my decision: The curriculum is good that , every thing is predefined , proffesors are given proper schedule , which topic is to be covered when The plan includes both theoritical and practical approaches of same topic Areas of Improvement: Few Lab course The lab experiments are so old and are done same every year There will be like around 4 exams per semester per course
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements Centre of Career planning and developments takes care about the placements Around 150 companies visit campus companies include microsoft , goldman sachs ,Reliance, infosis,Samsung , Tata ,Morgan stanley over 80% students get placed My plan after degree is to write GATE and to do MTECH
Fees and Financial Aid
For 1st year students : Tution fee per semester : 62,500 students have to pay a one time fee of 42,000 This 42,000 include Admition fee of 7,500 College development fee of 20,000 library fee of 2,000 hostel seat rent of 5,000 electricity and water :5,500 medical and health fee of 1,500 causion deposit of 15,000 Second to Fourth year students : Tution fee of 62,500 and other fee of 7,500 for sc , st 100% fee wavier family income below 1 lac full fee wavier 1-5 lac 2/3 fee wavier
Campus Life
The anual and Tech fests include: Spring spree (cultural fest held in month of march ) and Technozion( tech fest held in october) The library of NIT warangal is good , it has got so many books like around 2 lack books class rooms have smarts boards which can be connected to laptops or mobile phones and present proffesors generally prefer to use these smart boards over physical black board sports facilities are not that great but we do have a big stadium sort of thing to play cricket and foot ball, we got 2 basket ball courts, and dedicated courts but their is no proper traniee
Admission
In the josa counselling , I kept NIT warangal , NIT Tirchy , IIT Alhabad , NIT Surathkal At the end I was very confused between NIT Warangal ECE or IIT Alhabad CSE I choose NIT warangal over IIT Alhabad because , NIT warangal was near by to my home town and I even heard that NIT Warangal has got better college life than IIT alhabad , One of my friend studing in IIT Alhabad told it is kind of stressfull for him to survive there
Faculty
Here the faculty-to-students ratio is about 1:10 as far i know , faculty is very supportive and engaging Dr D bhargavi (Maths) Dr R Vennala (English) Dr. Ijjina Ernest Paul (Data structures and practices) This year the grading system got changed , previously it was relative grading , now it became absoulte grading after 16 years so now we will have 2 minors of 15 marks and end sem of 40 marks and 10 marks attendance , 20 marks will be in hands of proff (which include assigments , suprise tests , class room participation)
Night Life
Around Nit warangal there are numerous hangouts spots , there are many hotels and eateries where people from diverse backgrounds can experience culinary richness of telangana generally, people gather around in groups in times square at midnight and the atmosphere gets very lively the serene landscape of time square where gorgeous trees and fauna surround it provides a soothing cool breeze at night
