Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choosed CSE because i have an interest in tech and our course curriculum in also good in first semester there is a subject called introduction to information technology in which one can easily get overview of different fields in tech world. And in 2nd semester there is computer programming. And one more thing this course are common for 1st year students of all branches in btech. According to me they should remove some subjects like engineering physics, chemistry ,and environment science from atleast tech branches. There are 2 Class tests after an interval of around 1 months and and an end semester examination. According to me these exams are nor easier side neither difficult. I will consider them as medium level.

Placement Experience

3

I'm not sure of 3rd year but in 4th year companies used to visit for placements. Companies like TCS, wipro, IBM, infosys, tech mahindra, hdfc, cipla, icici ,mahindra,L&T, Zindal steel, byju's,etc used to visit. Last year highest package was 50lakhs in google. In tech branches mostly students gets placed on the other hand in non tech branches mostly students prepare for Gate and other exams. Im 2023 placement percentage was around 80%. And this placement percentage is increasing yearly. Currently I'm in 1st year so I'm planning for internships in upcoming year and surely further will be looking for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure 1st year Rs.29350 2nd year Rs.27550 3rd year Rs.27550 4th year Rs.27850 Tuition fee Rs.23000 Admission fee Rs.600 Enrollment Rs.200 Lab fee Rs.2000 per year Library Rs.300 per year Caution money Rs.1000 refundable Exam fee Rs.800 per year Student welfare fund 100 Medical fee 100 Magazine fee 100 Co curriculum/school Fest 100 Identity card Rs.50 Tech fest Rs.500 Degree fee Rs.300 once

Campus Life

Techfest named Equilibrio held in winters. And The dandiya utsav also helds before diwali. Science fest is Espectro. and many more small events keep happening. Our college also organises events like Smart India Hackathon. Also Organised Startup conclave event to provide startup funding . Labs are well equiped also advanced programming labs are available. In applied physics laboratory there is partical accelerator which is very few in whole India. GDGC and GFG are tech clubs and NEXUS is alumni club. These clubs are well functional and helps in enhancing skills and networking.

Admission

I also applied for AKTU affiliated colleges and in CSAB counselling. In AKTU counselling i got CSE is JSS noida and in CSAB i got GGV bilaspur, But I preffered GGV over JSS because of its return of investment and reputation as central university. I had appeared for Jee mains in that I got 92 percentile and then through CSAB counselling I got GGV Bilaspur. If your rank is 1.3lakhs or above then one have chances to get CSE here otherwise one can get lower branches easily. Admission process was quite easy after getting Admissions letter from CSAB website GGV organises offline document verification which lasts around 3 to 4 days.

Faculty

For 112 CSE students there are 2 faculties of each subject because whole class is divided into 2 sections. Most of the faculties are very good and approachable also they all are graduated from good collegs like NITs and IITs. One of my favourite is Mr. Jitendra Bhardwaj sir, he is graduated from IIT kanpur Mtech dual degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a very inspiring and hard working teacher. Also he motivates students to try different things and explore technologies. One thing I like most in him is that, He keeps a very different approach towards the problems. Sorry for that I don't wanna mention name of only few faculties to whom I don't like... One is maths faculty he explains very little to concepts and only focuses on copy pasting topics from his notes. In each semester there are total of three exams, two of them are class tests and one is end semester exam. Each exam are easy enough to pass but if we compare then I feels CTs are more tough than end semester beacause in end semester exams mostly questions repeat from previous year questions. Course curriculum is good but the only thing is as all other colleges here also they keeps basics of all engineering branches in first year.

Night Life

3

Our college have a gymnasium of average quality, one cafeteria and 2 Nescafe and one Amul outlets. Our library is well equipped with books and there are computers with fast internet connection. Classes timings are from 10am to 6pm. Also saturday and sunday are offdays. Girls hostel timings is 8am to 7pm and boys hostel timing is till 9pm. And campus main gates used to closed at 10pm. There is very average nightlife local shops usually closes at 10pm to 11pm. Inside college there is three ponds, kali mandir, and cafeteria are famous places for hangout. Outside university in Bilaspur city there are big shopping malls , many mini parks and clubs are for hangout. Also there is Arpa river which can be good place for hangouts. Till now I have not faced any problem to roam around night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as highly relevant as my opinion and comprehensive it's well structured syllabus combining course concept with practical component by the team of the institute from knowing and research about this it totally influenced my decision to choose this course the curriculum as it ffectively prepares student for real world applications and by through labs projects and problem solving activity while also building a strong foundation it provides more knowledgeable and growing generation level skills development source mid sem exams is easy but the end sem. Is relatively tough the frequency and timings of exam along with our perspective on their difficulty level

the placement of our college is good as compared to prvate college it provide average package of around 11.1 LPA .and the highest package of our college in year 2024 was around 56 LPA or 57 LPA . but the placement in lower branch like us or biomedical engineering or civil engineering ,they have very less percententage placement around 20-30 % in the class and average package of around 7 LPA , so it is not too good for lower branch . students can become placement in the 5th semester . many companies visits us many are the very big companies like microsoft , amazon , google , tcs , hp petroleum. i will prepare for GATE exam as i have my aim of studying in the IITs , iam planning for Mtech in IITs after that if i didn't got placed , i will prepare for SSC CGL exam or UPSC exam for IAS . but mainly focus on GATE CSE.

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative
