Likes

There is no bullying system in the college
Everyone is friendly and ready to help each other
The professor are really understanding and helpful

Dislikes

The fact that dresscode matters a lot in kjc
Attendance is taken very seriously and compulsory
There are no more than one fest in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

Psychology has been a great part of my life from +2 , i always would wonder how humans behave so differently so that automatically attracted me towards the course . This course is not only for studying but also for applying it in real life situations

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

First year :85,000 Second year :90000 Third year :90000 We have the same course fees but during examination fee we have the price difference I have no idea about the scholarship as i didn't opt for one .

Campus Life

Our campus has the best clean environment and greenery , there are different festivals going on like kalajoti which is a talent hunt and compitition which was held in the month of September and The sports day which was held in the month of January.

Admission

I had applied in Ramaiah College for Ba Psychology and I had applied Kristu Jayanti for Bsc Psychology which was a plus point to me as I was interested in more clinical part and the prices was also affordable in kjc as being a middle class

Faculty

The faculties are very kind and helpful and they can be approachable anytime . I have no particular favourite one as everyone is good and kind to me . There are 2 exams in 1 semester that is mid term and the end semester .

Interview Experience

Yes I had an interview which was online in zoom , after filling up the form where your 10 , 11, and 12 marksheet should be submitted via documents, then they would call for an interview after that we had an interview

Night Life

There are many cute cafes, resturant around the college campus , there is different kinds of food from different caste and people, there are many gyms who are interested in . The locality is safe even if your alone at night

About the college life

Likes

Teacher are well indulged , they help you .
Very good area where students get stuff they need.
Provision of canteen and stationery given

Dislikes

Campus is tooo small for a student to even have lunch
Strict and actively don't support in athletics
Sometimes, dealing with admin-related processes like society budget approval or fest dates approval can be slow and confusing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I got admission in 2024 so BCU started SEP Batch which is totally new , and we really don't find any book to refer on the basis where we don't get help as much as we need and it's new , bsc has alot to do .

Likes

Research culture, cooperation and a distinct lack of competition
Active student bodies, cultural groups, regional groups
Friendly professors, good understanding of mental health on the professor level

Dislikes

Bad decisions taken by admin regarding mental health, such as removal of ceiling fans and attempts at coverups.
Apparently Caste Based discrimination. Seems to be a lawsuit right now.
Difficulty with time management in early semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Clean and greenery campus environment with all safety measures
Friendly and supportive faculties who guide in our studies and future career suggestions
Best teaching methods by conducting various activities and exams

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

All you need to know about BASEU

Likes

Infrastructure is really good, the campus is huge and is filled with greenery
The curriculum is extensive and is based on real world applications
The campus is happening with a lot of clubs

Dislikes

The placements are not upto the mark, could be better
The mess food could improve. It is puke worthy.
Although it is a college, there are a lot of restrictions

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.

It is a reputed college and the course I wanted was available. They were also well known for their extra curricular activities which was something I wanted. It is not far from my location. It is a college from where a lot of my family members have graduated

good supporting lecturers and the principal. they are supportive to almost everything. even the director is a very soft person. lift facility is worst where there is timing to lift. if you miss the timing you have to climb 5 floors by steps. hostel Facility need to be changed with quality. syllabus need to be upgraded

Insight into KJC by a real life student

I applied to KIIT, Symbiosis, Saint Xavier's and I got accepted in most of them. But I ended up choosing KJC because of Bengaluru. I heard so many good things about the weather here and how the place is so I wanted to come here. I did not apply in Christ because I heard that the routine is too hectic. KJC is not like that. The routine is manageable. We have classes from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. But we either have morning classes or afternoon classes. Not the whole day.
